Watching the Mir/Nelson fight, I kept thinking to myself if these guys ever have to fight Cain, they're going to get destroyed.

Both guys were tired after 2 rounds, and Lesnar and Big Nog have already been finished violently, I'm thinking seriously that if Reem or someone from Strikeforce or even Junior doesn't have the cardio to last with Cain, or something he's going to be the Champion for a LOOOONG time, Cain didn't fight last night but anyone who saw that fight has to think now that Velasquez might just run through anyone at Heavyweight.

I highly doubt Mir wants that fight, he either needs to lose some muscle or he needs to do something completely different, Cain would have KILLED him and Nelson last night.

So you think if Bones decide to go HW now, he would cause problems for Cain?............................... really..

I think Frank Mir would give Cain a lot of problems. He is definitly capable of subbing Cain off of his back and also could probably do well standing. Although I think Cain is the better boxer and has faster, more powerful hands, Frank mixes things up really well with his kicks and knees etc. Cain has better wrestling and cardio but Frank is the naturally bigger man and I feel he could cause Cain problems and stop him getting the take down. I would bet on Frank in that fight, probably get 2:1 too.

Mir's gas tank looked pretty bad last night. Maybe he didn't train that hard for his fight because he doesn't take Roy that seriously? Or it could of been that Roy is a hard M Fer to knock out. Even though frank was tired he did take him down at will and punish him standing. If he wants a chance against Cain he'll have to work a lot harder on his gas tank because if it turns into a 'grind-it-out' match. He'll get owned.

Any guy that big will gas fighting at such a high pace. Mir presents problems for Cain his striking has less openings in it and he is dangerous off his back. He also never recovers once he gets hurt and Cain hits really hard and there is a very clear cardio and speed advantage for Cain.

JDS and Overeem are the only HWs I would favor over Cain and I would expect Cain to dominate most of the rest of the division.

Cain would wreck him. Better striking, plus Bones won't be able to rag doll him like he does his other opponents.
Bones is 220-225 right now if he were a heavyweight and put on 25 pounds of muscle I would put my money on him dominating the grappling.

Mir poses a legitimate threat to Cain, his striking is better than Cains i believe, and his new added size and strength poses problems also. Mir has a great BJJ game from his back, which could also potentially cause Cain problems.

I actually think Mir has a solid chance - i could seriously see him hurting Velasquez standing at some point in the bout. People drastically underate Frank Mir, he is easily int he top 5 Heavyweights in the UFC and i have him beating Carwin if they where to rematch. Nelson is a solid middle of the road guy and Mir completely dominated him in all aspects of the fight.

But the real threat to the UFC HW Champion is clearly The Reem.

Mir and Nelson would get COMPLETELY dominated by cain. Like seriously make them look like C grade fighters.
JDS is a credible threat to the title, still see cain beating him though. Carwin has a punchers chance but cain is a huge favourite for that fight IMO.
Only other guys posing a chance are werdum/overeem, and both would still be underdogs in my humble opinion.
I vouch for cain being a long term champion also.

I know i may get some heat for this, but Travis Browne looked real good out there and has looked good in his past fight as well. I think he could give Cain a run for his money in the standup department.

Yea but the real threat to Cains title was not on display last night, I have said for a long time, once Cain vs JDS is complete the winner will be champ for a long time.

But to be far Carwin is a dangerous man and has got some chance of spoiling the JDS vs Cain superfight party, which is the only fight I really want to see in the UFC HW division.

I convinced JDS is the better fighter over Carwin and would win more often than not over multiple battles, but Carwin is just one of those fighters who can have his day against any man, no offence to Carwin I like him as a fighter and a person, but dam I hope he does not have his day against JDS just because I have been wanting to see JDS vs Cain for so long going way back to before Cain held the belt or even before he was considered in line for a title shot.

Its a uncertainly between Cain and JDS, but I am edge on the side that thinks JDS is the No.1 HW in the UFC.

I would love to see Junior become the Champion, but I'm beginning to believe that Velasquez might just be untouchable, I only see Junior and Alistair giving him a run for his money but he has amazing cardio for a Heavyweight, heavy hands and a great wrestling base, not sure how good his ju-jitsu is but I heard he's not too bad.

Mir and Nelson would be wrecked by JDS also.

JDS is Cains big challenge.

Carwin also has a knock-out chance against anyone.

Other than that, nobody in the heavyweight division (UFC) can come close to Cain.

As for the Reem, I will reserve judgement until he comes out of the SF tournament.
