Fabio Maldondo vs Kyle Kingsbury

on TUF 13 Finale, i didnt see his fight at UFC 120 vs James Mcsweeney but he has two wins over falcao and only one loss to Alexandre Ferreira. just wondering if hes anyone to look out for or if his skill level is mediocre

Maldonado beat McSweeney...but for what it counts, McSweeney is 1-6 in his last 7, with 5 losses by TKO
or submission.

He is a very good boxer with an awesome chin but in my opinion that's about it. He does not seem quite versatile.

Especially compared to Kyle Kingsbury Maldonado is also a very small LHW. I think he would be better at MW.

McSweeney was dominating Maldonado until his rib broke. Then Maldonado finished him off.

Maldonados not very pretty or technical. But, he is tough and has power in his hands.

I don't think he is as good as his record suggests. He could easily beat Kingsbury though. The two guys are similar in the stand up dept.

FWIW Kinsbury is a significant favorite in the books.

I think this is one of those ones where the longer the fight goes, the more likely Maldonado is to win it.

He's not technically sound or great in any particular area. The best way to describe him would be durable. He was getting tooled on by Sweeney the entire fight but never stopped pushing forward. Sweeney couldn't handle his pressure and eventually crumbled. It's a great fight. Anyone who hasn't seen it already should check it out.

I don't expect him to break Kingsbury's will like he did Sweeney's but he could make Kingsbury tired with his pace and win by decision. This will probably be fight of the night, which is why I'm so pumped for it.

Maldonado hit McSweeney with a body shot that broke his rib. That may be part of the reason he crumbled.

What's with blatantly posting bullshit? McSweeney did not break a rib. He won a pretty good round 1(far from dominant) then got ****ed up in the second.

I favour Maldonado here, Kingbu just isn't very good, although he is a physical specimen. Maldonado has a titanium chin, and is MUCH more technical in the boxing game and has much better and more powerful hands. Kingsbu's chin is just average. Only way I see him winning is by being physical and hitting Maldonado with a big knee. Or outwrestling him for 15.

So many fighters are doing it...nothing wrong, right?!

It's just that you can hear Kingsbury sat how he wants to prove he can outsrike Maldonado.

I think (hope) he's bluffing.

Or he knows something we don't.
