I dont think thats fair to say, while his TDD wasnt "up to par" I think part of what makes it seem weaker was the fact he is so confident in his submission game, much like Miguel Torres.
Some guys dont mind fighting off their back, and Cerrone has always been one of them, and he'll often pull guard in an attempt for a submission.
I personally think Cerrone, Henderson, and Pettis are the 3 guys from the WEC that are easily good enough to compete at some point for the UFC Lightweight belt.
Typically I hate guys who talk trash like Cerrone, but he truly comes to fight EVERY fight, and its just so much fun watching him fight that I've grown to love the guy.
