No seriously I can't believe the UFC is even considering this right now, they are still to let the dust settle on the impact the FW and BM divisions have had on the rest of the divisions in the UFC due to lack of extra shows and subsequent card space to support development in the other division that are already suffering from having to give up card space to support the extra divisions.
This sucks big time until the UFC starts to put on extra shows, even if they are more simple fight night events to what we are used to seeing with no big draws almost like what SF do with the challengers events, just to get the development rolling in all the other divisions back up to the level where it was before the WEC merge, the last thing they need is another division to require card space which can only come from other divisions having to give up even more development.
Unless of course they do start to put on more shows, but since the WEC merge this is yet to happen, in fact the UFC has to date this year hosted the same number of events as they did last year, there has been no extra events, so in essence we have lost the 5 shows that the WEC hosted to date last year which means between all current divisions we have lost 55 fights, those fights could of been used to develop new stars and develop the divisions to give us much better current information on the development and current status of the fighters, that's 110 fighters who have to date missed out of a fight, odds are at least one of those would of showed us that they are ready to at least be considered a contender, without those fights who is to say we have a clear reading any up and comers who could have missed there chance to play in the big time.
Sometimes the UFC just pisses me off.
