Jon Jones Vs Rampage Jackson At UFC 135 Colorado

Quote:
As announced yesterday, the UFC is planning its first trip to Denver Colorado since 1995.

In the headlining spot the UFC hopes to put Jon Jones in his first title defense against “Rampage” Jackson.

While the light-heavyweight champ still needs clearance from a doctor before accepting the bout, UFC officials are pretty set on the likelihood of this match-up coming to fruition.

UFC 135 is set for September 24 and will air live on pay-per-view from Denver’s Pepsi Center.

We will keep you posted on the scheduling of this fight and event here on BJPENN.COM.

rashad gets shafted again. lol

its funny, rashads last win is against rampage for crack at the title.

now all of a sudden rampage is getting his shot while rashad faces Davis :/

despite this, im more looking forward to jones/rampage than rashad/jones.

He hasn't fought in over a year, despite the opportunity to do so. He gambled on everything working out and it didn't, so it's his own fault. I don't think you deserve to keep your place in line if your inactive for a year unless you're champ. He could probably use a tune up fight before the title shot anyways. Fighting Bones after a year off seems like a terrible idea.

If the NFL stays locked out, this could be a very heavy source of attention in the sports world come September. A card headlined by the young phenom Bones fighting the people's champ Rampage will rake a TON of PPV buys.

this man speaks the truth

that said, rampage vs jones should be an exciting and entertaining fight, more than evans/jones

seems like we're getting decent cards lately

The world doesn't stop for Rashad Evans, he needed to be booked into a fight and now he is. He'll get his title shot once he beats David, no big deal. As someone else said, he needs the warm up anyway... but let's not write Davis off just yet.

I want rampage to win but my money is on jones. However the prefight build up should be better than the actually fight. I hate jones but i see jones killing rampage.

Jones by TKO in the 4th due to knees to the body against a helpless and battered Rampage.

Really believe Jones is gonna dominate this fight and retire Rampage violently.

Jones will pretty much beat Rampage, but I hope it doesn't happen. The reality is that Jones is too good for Rampage. He has too many skills, too many tools and is faster. Rampage has a punchers chance.
