Can someone justify why Tito gets to fight Bader?

Anyone? The guy hasn't won a fight since 2006 and for some reason get's a fight vs bader who was just in line for a title shot? I respect dana's and silvas match ups but this one seems to be strictly biased and based off of the fact tito is a household name. It seems fights like this are put together for the wrong reasons and aren't really legit. Why not match him up with someone like Jason brilz or Luiz cane? If he legitimately is trying to contend again he should be building his way up the ranks again.

And yet Tito gets paid literally ten times what Bader gets for a fight.

Bader wasn't really in contention for a title shot, if he won against JBJ, Dana already said that he wouldn't be fighting Shogun. Say what you want about Tito but the last 3 fights he has been in, all have been close but that Hamil fight was tough to watch as I am kind of a Tito fan.

Tito gets paid more because its done his time for the sport. He was one of the bigger draws back then and helped the sport grow, and even still now, people like to watch him win or lose.

However, I think if he loses this fight, he's going to retire or get cut, especially if Bader ends up out wrestling him.

Because Dana hates him and is feeding him to Bader. Bader is better at striking and wrestling so will get an easy win here and Tito will get cut.

They should give Tito a can to fight and rake in some money of a him for a while more.

If he loses, he can go to Strikeforce and challenge Henderson or just fight Mousasi

To be fair to Tito 5 of his last 6 fights have been against ex LHW champions. The Hamill loss was poor but apart from that there are no embarassing losses on Tito's record, when Bader betshim I think he is gone for sure though.

Tito is a household name, the problem with tito is he has not been healthy since 2006. I don't know how good he would have been if healthy since the sport has evolved. Its gonna be interesting seeing how a healthy tito does. Remember at one point Tito was either the most popular or second most popular fighter in the world.

Tito helped build the sport in it's infancy and he has achieved a lot in his career. He has fought a who's who at 205 and has done a lot to help market the sport. No, he is not an elite level fighter anymore, but I am sick of people calling Tito's credentials in to question. He has the most title defences at 205 ever and is the only early era UFC fighter still competing at a high level. The fact that Tito is willign to fight high level guys over and over again is a testament to his legitimacy as a fighter. If he turened down tough fights and went for cans then I would understand your disdain. But I really can't see why you have a problem with him taking fights against the toughest opposition he can.

His name is his name (M StanfieldTM) and while he isn't exactly a great fighter these days, a win over him makes for a nice enough looking record. Bader should win this one pretty easy, imo. If Bader loses i'll be well shocked.
