He's probably just having some fun to the responses in this thread. Take him at his word from the first post.

I've said it once already today:

With these internets, you're hating some guy, and three seconds later he's a monster. And the guy you thought was a monster is now a can.

The worst thing is that when you say you always liked a guy, or always hated him, everyone else does, too!

So this time, I want to get ahead of the crowd and like someone that everyone hates first. So, it's you, big Tim.

Timmy- hate him now, say you always loved him next month!

LOL! Who cares what's gonna happen. All that matter's is imagining Big Tim doing the above, haha. Damone, you made my day.

[QUOTE=randyspankstito]You know, I have been bashing hard on Tim Sylvia for ever now. I think I may have bashed him so much that I am actually starting to like him.

I like Sylvia as a fighter. He is the champ for a reason and a bit of a freak-show to watch. I think the Couture fight will make or break his fan base. I am hoping Couture will win but another part of me hopes to see Sylvia finally do what he can do

The only reason he gets away with this is because of his size and reach. I thought like you did, until i really sat down and looked at his style or well lack there of. He is a terrible fighter, albiet he did show some good ground game against a very tired Jeff in the late stages.

Arlovosky rocked Tim and almost KOd him, but Tim kept his wits and threw a punch, got control and finished the match.

That's not luck; that's awareness and skill.

You also bash Silvia for using his natural attributes to his advantage. No one ever ripped on Ali for using his amazing speed to his advantage, so why rip on Tim for using his height and reach?

Shaq uses the same attributes in basketball, and he's not getting the heat that Silvia is.

If you simply want to hate the guy, go ahead, but don't discredit an athlete's achievements and dismiss them when he's only doing what it takes to be a champion.

Its not really Tim's fault that the guys he last fought were not hungry for the win, the contender needs to push the pace. I enjoy watching him fight, but the last two were pretty boring.
I think Randy will have a tough time taking the belt away from him, he loves that think too much. I am sure Cro Cop will be able too, but not in a land slide victory like everyone says. Cro Cop will just have to chop away at big Tim, just like he did Bob Sapp. Big Tim is good at what he does though, sprawl and brawl.
