These political fall outs happen eventually. Usually involves lack of creative control, greed (in the word of GG "greed is good."), pride, ego, and all the other wonderful characteristics of the "suits" in corporate America.
What Spike doesn't realize is that the UFC isn't a business it's a BUSINESS JUGGERNAUT. While RIM and all these other companies are failing the UFC is rapidly climbing. Within five years Spike will be bought out or go busto.
In another 10 the UFC will eclipse boxing and be on par with basketball, football, hockey as the most watched sport around the world. Soccer/futbol will still be #1.
Within the next 20 years you'll see UFC gyms, UFC runned Taco Bell chains, UFC TV channel showing UFC fights 24 hours a day, UFC casino(s) since they already run Station Casinos, UFC owned venues around the world, UFC record label, UFC motion pictures, and UFC clubs, bars, & lounges.
Then in another 30 years the UFC will split in half probably due to friction between the Fertitta family members and White & co. End of an era...
