That's crazy, right now I see two prospects (Gracie and Gustafersson) that have skills and size that might beat Jones but they are at least two to three years away from challenging. Jones has pretty much Carte blanche in 205 right now, a number of old flawed fighters that will all get cracks at the champion. Right now you have Davis/Evans with the winner either not standing much of a chance and the loser getting knocked a year away.

His next three fights are going to be filled with fairly easy opponents. I doubt anyone on the short list is going to go into that fight at higher than five to one odds.

I think we'll see a few more years of him dominating the LHW division before jumping up to around 250 and going on a tear at HW.

i could see bones beating cain and jds. Cain would be more competitive, but jds would be a beat down. thats just my opinion though.

Machida not fulfilling his claim is completely unrelated, difference is that Jones does have the body to move up.

Personally, I can't wait to see how he handles bigger competition, there are other big guys at LHW but they're not as lean as Jones. I think he should be at HW, and the fact he says that HW Title is the ultimate achievement, says to me that he knows he should be there.

Cain and JDS would be automatic favorites, but that is now. Who knows what will happen and how much JBJ has progressed with the time comes to move up a weightclass.

I think you need to be that confident to achieve greatness. Only time will tell...

IF Bones defends his belt against Rampage, Rashad, and Machida then I will fully support any decision to move up to Heavyweight (unless some other young LHW star comes on the scene sometime soon).

Rampage:- 4 years past his prime with little or no motivation
Evans:- Poor verses the above past it fighter. Ko'd by Machida
Machida:-Next heavyweight champion of the world....Oh no sorry that didn't happen did it.

FFS people he had a graet win against Shogun(but did look a lot bigger). But this is the weakest the LHW division has been in years.

The HW division is now full of rather talented - beasts!!

Please let him defend his title at least twice before you claim he is the next Superman!!!

See the quotes about MAchida on this board about 18 months ago...
