Wanderlei Silva vs. Chris Leben (UFC 132)

Wanderlei Silva vs. Chris Leben (UFC 132)

Whilst Carlos Condit vs. Dong Hyun Kim has most of us eagerly awaiting a very evenly matched contest where both men will be employing conflicting game plans to win the fight, the real meat of UFC 132 can be found with Wanderlei vs. Leben.

Stop being rigid and let your belly out!

Man i love this fight and whilst something inside of me tells me Wanderlei takes this with relative ease, I'm struggeling to see past Wanderlei's broken chin and Leben's big power. VBookie has Silva as a comfortable favourite and he is probably the more technical (although he isn't really known for that) of the two but is clearly at his best/most exciting when exchanging wildly - similar to Leben.

Who do you pick and why?

Nice Wuk Ariel

Man I can't wait for this fight!! I really am excited to see them slug it out but to me it's a toss up of who gets knocked out first. However, I want to see Silva win by vicious knees to the head

I'm a die hard Leben fan and I will be cheering for him. However I respect the hell out of Wanderlie Silva and you show me an MMA fan who doesn't and I'll show you someone who has no clue with the F they are talking about.

As for the fight... I think it will be closer than most people think and I honestly see one of two outcomes. While I may be laughed at by some for this, I personally think if there is a finish in this fight it will be Chris dropping Wanderlie, most likely it will be a single left while taking a half a dozen shots to the face, vintage Leben. Or I actually see this going to the judges with Wanderlei getting the nod.

On paper this is probably the most exciting match up ever. Yes ever. when anyone says killer instinct and mma, theyre probably referring to one of these guys. I just hope Silva brings it on his end which is something I thought I would never say. Silva has shown at times not to show his killer instinct that was so lovable in pride whereas Leben hasn't been in a fight where he wasn't the aggressor to my knowledge. I'd say it comes down to whoever has the weaker chin which I think is Wanderlei unfortunately. Love both fighters though so regardless of the result ill be pleased.

true, we haven't seen wanderelei KTFO anybody recently. his power may have declined recently along with his chin... also the only people to KO or TKO leben is Stann and Silva. stann proved you don't have to be a sniper to KO leben, but nobody can deny that even the strongest strikers still need more than one punch to put him away...

im rooting for leben.... even though i love wanderelei so i wont be disappointed with either decision

Love both these guys; I'm calling Silva by a PRIDE flashback domination.

I will be disappointed to the point of complete heart broken disillusionment if the man who BEAT THE PISS (my new favorite phrase) out of Rampage twice can't do the same to Chris the spritz.

i know Leben has grown up a lot and I give him some grudging respect and I realize the axe murderer may have faded a bit but,...

WAR WANDY!!! this is gonna be good.

I pick Leben. As of late when Leben gets cracked he still is in zombie mode and has Kongo'ed more people than Kongo. When Wandy gets cracked he goes to sleep. I will still be upset if Wandy loses.

Ultimately I want this to be a bloody mess of a standup war that goes to a decision and these two bloody gladiators hug after a split decision. They'll both have been content to give 100% and put on one HELL of show!
