...randy is in the UFC for years now and he doesn't need any adjustment to octogon unlike mirko, so it's not that strange he got a chance for title...as far as randy concern,it's all about his shape...

Randy is a great fighter, all I am saying is that once you lose, you should have to start at the bottom and make your way back up to show that you deserve a title shot. Just because he is good doesnt mean that he automatically deserves the shot. And by the way, Mirko is not that inexperienced fighting in an octagon. This may be his first time having an actual fight in one, but he trains in one often.

If they put Mirko up against AA right away and gets knocked out, it will be very hard to get UFC fans interested in Mirko. The UFC has to build him up like they did with Griffin and Bisping before giving him a title shot.
I dont agree. I wasnt there when mirko was fighting in the ufc, but from what i could hear from the crowd, they seem to know him a lot more than you would think. yes its probably true that they like guys they know well(like those who showed up in TUF), but i think we should give credit the average ufc fans, they know a bit about him, they know at least that hes dangerous, even if they havent seen him ko any1.

I get the point that Mirko didnt impress enough in his first fight to make new fans, and that this 2nd fight another occasion to show what he can really do.. but any1 smart who fights mirko wont let him the chance to do so. Sanchez really didnt do anything, but at the same time he was never exposed to anything too dangerous. I dont know much about mirko's next opponent, but mirko's style is often the same : he doesnt press for action, he lets the action come to him. If you put a guy that virtually has no chance to win, and he knows it, hes not going to try to do anything.. eddie already lost the fight when the bell rang, you could see it in his eyes, he was scared to death.

If they want mirko to show what hes got, you have to put him up against someone who has at least a chance.. for instance maybe not AA(that was my personnal choice of 2nd fight, but thinking about it, maybe it was too soon), but brandon vera? striker vs striker could be fun, esp since it gives opportunity for mirko to get a highlight reel.

A fight against Vera would be a lil risky for 2 reasons:

1) Vera could catch a lucky punch and make Cro Cop look bad.

2) They dont want Vera getting exposure b4 he leaves.

First thing is Gonzaga is not a bum, to rack up a 4-0 record in the ufc aint easy. And who else is Mirko suppose to fight? Gotta save the big fights for when Cro Cop is champ!

4-0 record against who? ...

and mirko has 6 fights on his contract, and he either retires after or the ufc has to pay him even more after to fight again.

right now, supposing he stays undefeated, hes going to get his 3rd fight for contender, 4th for title, 5th rematch, then another to defend his title. And thats assuming he wins all of them. Mirko has nothing to prove, hes not some new guy to mma..
