He only has 2 and a half rounds of cardio though if he could go at least 4 without gassing he would be a big threat. I don't think GSP would even engage Condit standing he would just take him down nonstop and get to halfguard so he can lay on him without having to worry about Condit racking up points with his full guard offense.
I saw Jake Shields take Kampmann down. Sorry but if he can let Jake Shields take him down then there is no way he is stuffing in 1 GSP shot. Sorry but im not seeing it.

To
*No Mercy* but its good to point out that Condit did get the TKO win against Rory.

Yah Condit is a sleeper. This guy was the WEC champ so he has credibility as shown in his recent fights.

Two points why Condit would make for an interesting challenge to the throne.

1.) He fights tenaciously with unpredictability. His striking is far better than Fitch or Koschek with the exception of Alves. The element of surprise can really disrupt GSP's systematic approach. Condit can brawl (Hardy fight), but he's fairly tactical.

2.) Heart. The fight against Rory Mcdonald showed that. He was getting dominated for two rounds and came back in the 3rd like nothing happened. This shows that Condit has the "killer instinct" and can finish at any given moment.

Can he do the job, unlikely, but it'll be very interesting.

Condit vs Fitch, Kos, BJ Penn, Alves or Anthony Johnson would be an interesting contender match up.

Agreed on Condit vs Fitch, Kos, BJ Penn, Alvez (or Shields but he is already scheduled).

But don't think Johnson should get a title match-up yet. He should be getting another win or and then fight one of these gatekeepers to get a title shot whereas Condit has done enough to fight one of the gate keepers now for a chance at the title.

GSP doesn't have that great of a shot if he isn't committing to exchanging which he won't want to do with Kampmann. Stopping the majority of Shields takedown attempts isn't a knock on someones defensive wrestling. His shot isn't that fast but he does have good technique and gets basically everyone to the ground eventually.

And on a side note, Mckeever, Game of Thones is absolutely brilliant. I finished the season last Friday off my dvr, and I couldn't help myself. I drove that evening to bookstore and picked up the sequel. I'm now on the 3rd book, and still loving it. And you'd be pleased to know that Tyrion's hilarity continues.
This was another fight that gave me hope for BJJ fighter's to counter wrestling. Kim must have shit himself when he got swept like that into full mount, that must have mentally messed him up.

Game of Thrones is ridiculous, definitely in my top three favourite tv shows. I went and bought the books straight after I finished watching too! Can't get enough.

This might sound strange to some but as much as I would love to see Penn and Condit, I don't want it. Simply because I want Condit to get a title shot. And oddly enough I give Condit's killer instinct style a better shot against GSP, then I do Penn.

Interesting to see how all of this folds out, by the looks of things Condit is nearing a title shot against his buddy, a fellow Greg Jackson student GSP.

GSP doesnt have that great of a shot?? Are you kidding me?? His shot is nearly perfect. Then to boot he sets it up perfect with his strikes. The guy had no problem striking with Alves long enough to take the guy down. He also dropped Alves twice if i recall. You are completely delusional about GSP and Kampmann. Now i see why you have a red bar.

Condit is top class and very entertaining to watch but if you watch his fight against Rory Mac you'll see why it's a long shot that he'll stand a chance against GSP. He'll get taken down and punched in the face for 25 minutes.

But aside from that, Condit vs Fitch / Diaz / BJ are fights that get the juices flowing

I really don't understand why people seem to thik Rory dominated Condit in the first two rounds.

Those first two rounds were very even. Rory won them due to the heavy emphasis on take downs, but he did NOTHING with those take downs. He landed NO gnp and didn't pass guard.

The striking on the feet was very even, I'd give the edge to Condit though.

Then in the third round he trashed him.
