ranking the UFC LW's

Feel like I need a masters degree for this

One through five is easy

1. Edgar
2. Maynard
3. Miller
4. Guida
5. Guillard

After that it's really a pick em'

6. Pettis
7. Henderson
8. Siver (I think he lost more than he gained in that fight)
9. Sherk (he's only lost to champions)
10. Cerrone
11. Oliveira
12. Barboza
13. Winman
14. Dos Anjos
15. Stout
16. Lauzon
17. Makdessi
18. Lentz
19. Sotiropoulis
20. C. Miller
21. Pearson
22. Shalorus
23. Tibau
24. Volkmann
25. Castillo

I know you said from 5 on is basically in improper order but I think Lentz should be higher, he is undefeated in 7 UFC fights lol.

Yeah but only five of those are wins, the NC and the Griffin wins were both gifts. I have him pretty much losing to everyone ahead of him and 50% of the guys below him.

It is a cluster **** and the rankings don't even matter since the belt is being held up and the winner of Bendo/Miller is getting the next shot. So the person after that is going to be like a year and a half away after the Bendo/Miller winner vs Frankie/Gray winner immediate rematch that Dana seems to think every LW title fight deserves.

The mess has been cleared up a bit since Pettis, Sotiropolous, and Dunham have effectively kicked themselves out of the near-term title picture. Basically, the winner of Bendo-Miller will probably fight Maynard-Edgar for the title and then Melvin Guillard will get the next title shot.

Personally, I don't think anyone at lightweigt has the style to beat Edgar or Maynard, except for Guillard.

Although if Maynard won, I think Penn would have a good chance of taking him out if he was to come back down (should he lose a rematch with Fitch).

i feel the same way about bj. I think frankie is bj's mental kryptonite. But anyone else in the division, i think bj kills their wife and rapes their children.

I don't think Edgar is BJs mental kryptonite, I thik he is the physical version.

BJ is methodical, uses a good jab and just busts guys up with his superior technique. But a guy who uses angles and a higher volume is alwyays going to give a technical fighter problems. Just look at what Manny Pacquiao does to people in boxing and he has poor technique. Speed, angles and workrate can over-come just about anything.

^^^^^^

Thread title is UFC LWs bro.

Think Aoki is going to struggle in a cage anyways. Too much room to get away from him and they won't allow him to butt scoot.
