Well, it seems that it depends on how lucky you are to get a title shot. Tito shouldn't be getting one, of course, but just looking at the last champions, Jones got a shot after beating Bader (#7 on the bloodyelbow consensus rankings), Matyushenko (#19), Vera (unranked) and the DQ loss to Hammill (#16)

Shogun got his title shot after losing the title to Forrest, then defeating Mark Coleman and Chuck Lidell... and he even got an instant rematch.

And Tito has already fought most of the top guys, Rashad (#4), Machida (#5), Forrest (#6) and Bader (#7). So if you beat #7, you should fight someone better. Maybe the winner of Rich/Nogerio will be ranked better than Bader.

Anyway, I seriously doubt that Tito will get two more consecutive wins, but IF he does, he should get a shot at the title.

If Tito wins two more fights, against dudes ranked higher than Bader, he absolutely should have another shot. What a money maker that would be? Ortiz in a title shot.

It'll *never* happen. If it did, I would quite enjoy it.
