The true test of a man....

is how he responds to his setbacks. This was one of the reasons I loved randy couture.
And to be honest I havent celebrated so much in a long time as when Tito got pulled off bader.
Everyone knows Tito is a dick most of the time, but you got to give the guy his dues. Those back surgeries he went through were really nasty. He has taken hoards of abuse about pretty much everything, especially his ex. But he has responded like a champion and against all odds nailed bader, a very good up and comer indeed.

He's the only relevant old schooler left now. Wandy's chin is done, and I think its great for the sport and the fans that he won that fight.

Theres only one matchup for him now and thats vs Shogun. Lets get it on Silver!

I want to see Shogun vs. Tito too, just so we can see Shogun in top form again dominating his opponent.

That Jones fight...still kind of surreal.

Tito isn't relevant Bader choked and fought like a retard and apparently has zero sub defense which makes him pulling guard on Bones even more baffling. Shogun would kill Tito.

I'm not sure what your definition of old schooler is Anderson Silva is the same age as Tito and has more fights. Guys like Rampage, Overeem, Mir, and BJ have a decade or more in the sport and are significantly more relevant than Tito.

DonRifle 07-03-2011 03:59 AM

Overeem, hahaha good one. Overeem will get found out pretty soon.

Aside from that Tito is the longest serving fighter in the UFC. He was there in the early days, he helped make the sport. He was the poster boy. BJ isnt relevent anymore, until he gets a decent win under his belt and he never produces the goods anymore when it matters. Cant remember the last time BJ produced the goods. Frank Mir when did he arrive? A lot later then Tito. And how is he significantly more relevant then tito. One more more win and Tito will have a title shot. How is that less relevant then Mir? Rampage?, you might have a point with rampage, but he is still not oldschool like tito is

people forget tito is still loved by many, this is what the first time he has claim to be healthy in a long time. The ufc will milk tito until he loses his chin.

A nice sentiment OP but, you give the internetfan to much credit. rather than give Tito any credit it is easier to label Bader a can, joke, tard..etc

it's the easier way for small minds to explain what happened.

lol guess he forgot tito was/is a really good fighter. He probably did not realize tito would has easily won against evans if it was not for the point deduction.

Winner of Nog-Franklin vs Tito would make perfect sense now.

For the first time ever Tito has made a fan out of me. Ive never hated him or liked him much he just didnt interest me, and i wasnt watching UFC as much back then as i do now when he was in his prime.. i kinda laughed off the "Ive never felt better Physically" because you hear it so much and they are usually the ones that end up losing, regardless i rooted for Tito and he did it! I was in shock and applauding at the same time. He looked like he was generally fighting for what he said in the pre fight interview and not just putting it on for the cameras. I feel bad for Bader but hes young so he has pleanty of time to re-coop.

Give me your best neg rep Tito haters! lol

Tito vs Stephen Bonnar is something i always wanted to see. Maybe can happen now!
