I don't think they are anymore since Pettis lost to Guida. Condit never got a unification fight as well.

I would say Miller probably deserves one the most but i wouldnt be against Melvin , Guida or Miller getting the next chance after Maynard , hell even Ben Henderson if he can win his next fight, great division.

Bisping Fan extraordinaire

Velasquez will be back

given how the lw div is it could be a while, as a long time fan i wish he were next in line. all he can do is keep winning fights in an exciting manner and he'll get his shot pretty soon

fighters I like
145 Jose Aldo
155 Melvin Guillard
170 Carlos Condit
185 Anderson Silva
205 Jon Jones/Machida
265 Alistair Overeem/Frank Mir

It probably won't happen, because both guys are training at Jackson's MMA.

If it's for the title, it could happen. Until then, i dout it.

As far as answering the thread question: 2 wins away from the shot.
Normally i would have said: 1 win away. But.....Edgar vs Maynard 3 will probably take place in september, very close to the Miller - henderson fight. And the winner of that one will most likely get the next title shot, in a fight that could take place at the beginning of 2012.

That leaves room for Guillard to fight (at least) one more time this year + wait for the result of the Edgar/Maynard vs Miller/Henderson winner.

I think the only fight for Melvin right now is against Guida. Sure they are from the same camp, but he said himself that he'd fight a teammate either for the belt or as a no.1 contender fight. That fight would be exciting as hell! Melvin would probably KO Guida.

Thanks to limba for this AWESOME sig
