How far is Melvin Guillard from a title shot?

He looked very good last night against Shane Roller, so the new question for me is how much more does the guy have to do to prove he deserves his shot? Give em Guida next maybe? Should he get the shot right now?

My personal belief is that he should fight Guida and the winner of that gets the next shot. Sorry Jim Miller, I like you and all but Melvin has really impressed me.

I think Rogan's starting to feel the same way. It's not often someone wins on an undercard fight and Rogan mentions title shots and the 'title picture' so often.

He's looked great since he's moved back to Jacksons. He's second to Miller for me to get a title shot. My top 5 are:

1) Edgar
2) Maynard
3) Miller
4) Guillard
5) Guida

I think Miller (if he beats Hendo) should fight Edgar/Maynard, and Guillard should fight Guida for number 1 contendor.

I believe he has the athleticism and wrestling pedigree to beat both Frankie and Grey. He needs to beat Miller, Guida or Melendez before he gets a title shot though.

LW is STACKED right now. We have Miller, Guida, Guillard who would get a guaranteed title shot if the division wasn't so stacked. Maynard is getting his rightful rematch and let's not forget about Melendez as well. Crazy.

Guillard won't fight Guida unless it's for the Title. He would like to fight Miller, who IMO should get a Title shot if he beats Henderson. Melvin says he knows Miller may not be available, so he called out Siver.

I'll bet in Dana's eyes, Melvin is closer to a shot than we think. A win over Siver would get him a shot IMO, hell a win over the loser of Miller vs Henderson probably would too. You have to factor in the types of guys Dana likes, and Melvin is one of those guys, 1 more decent win and he's got it.

I'm probably the only one who thinks Gulliard should be next in line. Yes miller and clay deserve it more but Melvin is one of those freaks that you know one day he will achieve greatness. To me Miller, clay are average fighters with great skills, Melvin to me comes off as having that special ability that a aldo, jones, silva has.
