Cool Short End Of The Pay Per View Stick (lol)

I saw a few great fights and some even better quick submissions and knock outs on Saturday night... But I somehow feel let down as I paid a lot of money for a ppv event (in HD even) and was ready for bed just a couple of hours later!

Oh well - I guess they cant all be 5 round marathons like GSP/Shields and so on.

Just my morning rant.

Some people like the quick finish, some like 5 round lay-n-pray festivals! I prefer a fight card where everybody on the card is looking to finish, and that is what we had this card!

I would give this card 4 out of 5 stars. The only thing that it needed to be a 5 star card was a few bigger names performing the same way these smaller names did!

Hey dont get me wrong - I thought the card was great too! I was just pointing out the comedic side of "pay a lot of money for less time watching" so to speak.

Who/What bigger names would you have in mind?

Any of the Champions in the 155+ classes. The 145 and lower classes just dont excite me that much! Also any of the 185/205 top 10 get me hyped for just about any fight!

It's almost worse paying $60 for a card full of a bunch of wrestlers/BJJ guys who can't finish ...fight after fight of 3-5 round snoozers.

Great card! No complaints.

This thread is just proof that you can't please everyone. I personally thought 132 was one of the best cards I've seen in a long time.

This. If all the fights go to a decision the card will be too boring. If the fights all end early, it isn't worth the money.

So, you don't like grappling at all?

I think K-1 is more your style, learn to appreciate all arts of MMA, including "boring" wrestling.
