Hmm I never even considered the possibility of a Cruz-Aldo superfight, that would be interesting. Honestly I think this fight makes a lot of sense for the UFC to put on for several reasons:

1. It's a superfight between two great fighters, and thus fans would love to see it

2. Both Aldo and Cruz have defended their titles multiple times with relative ease

3. There aren't any true challenges left for either Cruz or Aldo to face in defending their belts

4. It would bring a lot of attention and love to the still young BW/FW divisions in the UFC, which would attract more fan interest and talent worldwide

At the end of the day, I would give the advantage to Aldo due to size and striking skill but it would be a fantastic spectacle nonetheless!

agreed except now that the FW division has florian i think they will wait till aldo destroys him so they make this superfight

and also..what size advantage does aldo have?

Aldo would kill cruz. Absolutely murder cruz, maybe in a couple years cruz would be closer and lose in a less massive way but right now cruz is way out of his league. I'd say faber would probably beat cruz in the rematch and damn near beat him in their last fight but aldo.. aldo would put a beating on cruz worse than he did on faber.

Why would the UFC put Aldo in with Cruz, when they have Chad, Hioki and Florian.....? They need to find some BWs for Cruz, but the featherweight division is looking the deepest it has ever looked in the UFC, let alone the talent in the Bellator FW division they could look to scalp down the road (if Aldo does beat these 3).

As for the match-up, I would go with Aldo.

If i ever go to vegas (which i doubt because I am not a big gambler) I'd definitely check that place out and get my call of duty on.

I once lost about $40 in approximately 1-2 mins at a local casino and wanted to leave asap. I could already tell that if i stood longer I would be a couple hundred in the hole

Yea this has been on my mind for awhile now actually. It would be unique to see Aldo with the speed disadvantage but if faber did what he did to Cruz sat night by dropping him multiple times, I'd imagine a guy like aldo who has more powerful and technical striking than faber would make quick work of cruz. Cruz wouldn't be able to get the fight on the ground and if he did, Aldo's jiu jitsu is no ******* joke so its a lose-lose for a guy like cruz who wouldn't be able to control aldo from the top.

Personally, I'd prefer to see aldo go up to 155 when all the dust settles in that division. There are so many interesting match ups at lightweight for Aldo.

that is what i would say usally but cruz is damn nice. His style/speed/standing is crazy. This is one fight where i don't know who will win. I know aldo has more power but everything else is equal or to close to judge.

I know styles make fights, but Aldo absolutely ruined Faber, yet Faber and Cruz had a reasonably well matched fight. In my head I don't see how this could possibly go well for Cruz, especially as Aldo is closer to a 155'er than a 135'er.
