I think more people should give reactions to Dana forcing fighters to retire but he also looks at peoples health. There is nothing positive when you see Chuck getting KO'ed every fight or Wanderlei getting KO'ed fairly easily now also.

Sometimes forcing a fighter to retire is good because they have built up a competitiveness inside themselves that they can't just say "I'm done".

As to Tito, I screamed when he won. I was pulling for Tito and it would be a shame if he was forced out of the UFC when all his recent fights were still relatively close. The thing that makes this situation for Tito so funny, is that Dana wanted him gone, but now he has a guaranteed 3 fights on his contract. Hopefully he can at least go 2-1 over those fights.

It seems Tito may have inspired another old lion to go get that win.

Nog is going to beat Schaub btw.

lol cute nut hugging...seems like nobody actually read what he said

he was talking about deciding when a fighter needs to retire, and i agree with nog, dana doesnt have the right to say ''hey, you're done now, you have to retire'' just like that, not to legends, chuck doesnt even compare to wandy

chuck was getting KOed left and right, wandy has been KOed what? 2 times in the UFC? he had wars with franklin and liddell, beat bisping and got KOed by rampage and leben...yeah cuz they hit very soft

im not saying he still has the same chin, but i dont think its in the state chucks chin was in, and wandy deserves the same respect chuck got, a took a while for dana to retire chuck, let wandy have some last chances, hes earned it after everything hes done for the sport

Dana doesn't claim to retire fighters, he just retires them from the UFC and he has every right to do so but i'm sure you would prefer to see Wanderlei face down ass up out cold again.

I so wish he never got injured so Akiyama would have Ko'd him.

Oh and the fact is, no one will get the treatment that Chuck got because it just ended up worse for him and they are not going to risk seeing that again.

its easy to just sit back and say ''hey hang it up old man, you're done'' im not saying wandy has to get KOd another 5 times before dana cuts him, dana can cut him before simply for his record

though wandy has been in wars, hes givin us fans many great memories and i was very sad to see him face down like that, i really would want him to hang it up, but if he doesnt want to give up just yet, if he wants at least 1 more fight to know if it was a fluke or if hes done, who am i to say no? who is dana to say no?

right now hes 1-1...he shouldnt be cut yet, sure he lost to lidell and franklin but those were close fights, then he beat bisping and lost to leben

hes not a contender, obviously, but hes not so bad that he should be cut right now, dana just wants to cut him, wich i think is disrespectful

this is a grown man who has suffered a lot for our entertainment, he knows what hes doing with his life, hes earned our respect, he will be in the hall a fame, hes a legend, if he says he wants 1 more fight he deserves it after everything hes done

i dont agree with him, i think he'll lose again, but i respect his wishes to have another chance, as should dana...

It's so funny that Dana gets criticized for being too business oriented but when it comes to him caring about a fighters health and not wanting to see them get hurt anymore people cry foul and call him disrespectful despite them being fan favorites.

Face it, Wanderlei is a has-been and the Chuck and Franklin fights were not close barring one round.

Dana and the Fertittas are trying to run a legitimate Promotion of a sport that still doesn't get sanctioned in some places and the last thing they need are fighters walking around slurring and with brain damage.

UFC is a business, and Dana is the boss. If you don't perform your duties as an employee (winning fights), and can't do your job properly, then you will be fired (cut).

Dana has the right to fire anyone so long as it's justifiable and he feels you're not doing the job the company is paying you to do, he's the boss.

Nog's recent performances and lack of activity should make him talk less.

He has every right to express an opinion, but he has to remember: he is employed by a campany - run by DW - that tries to make money, using guys like him (Nog), to put on fights for the people who wanna pay good money, to watch fights.

Nog is just a worker.

.

BELIEVE!

But seriously, of course Dana decides who gets cut from the company hes the president of! Nog is being silly. Maybe Sonnen is on to something...
He isn't talking about cutting guys he is talking about deciding that they have to retire like what he did with Chuck and what the said about Tito, Crocop, and Wandy.

Its not so much looking out for the fighters as it is looking out for the company. Wandi is 2-6, in his mid 30s & has a bad chin.He literally has no value in the grand scheme of things. Rather than have blood on their hands they are severing ties with him & he is free to continue eleswhere if he pleases

To Live is 2 suffer, 2 survive? well that is 2 find meaning in the suffering
