Pat Barry talks about getting KO'd.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/07/0...finish-over-p/

"If Dan Miragliotta would have stopped it, he would have robbed Cheick Kongo of one of the best comebacks in UFC history," Barry said. "And if he would have stopped it, he would have robbed the fans of one of the most exciting endings in the history of the UFC. If he would have stopped that fight, with the way it turned out, it would have been a terrible injustice. We would have all missed one of the greatest 20 seconds in MMA ever."

"Every fight, I can honestly say, a part of me has held back because of that fear. So it was kind of a relief. Like, it finally happened. Now I honestly can't wait to get back into the next one and really go off on someone, because now I don't have to worry about what it's like anymore. I don't have that fear of what's going to happen, because now I already know."

How Kongo survived was surprising. He was in survival mode blacking out and barely clicking back in consciously...

Just realized somethin'...he's pretty dangerous with his back against the fence. He nailed Cain as well, but he decided to take him down...dum move. Pat unfortunately was already out.

That must have been ONE BIG roller coaster for anybody who bet on that fight.

He's right on the money. Seems like he took the loss/KO well so much respect to him.

This has got to be the best way any fighter has ever dealt with a knockout.

Well said, and I love this guy...

but... I would be a tiny bit pissed in the back of my mind. If the fight were stopped, I wouldn't feel in any way injusticized
because of it whatsoever. I would have had no clue that the comeback was coming and my night would not have been ruined by the admittedly awesome comeback.

That's a refreshing way of looking at it. BTW I don't think he went in there reckless, I just think Kongo pulled off a hailmary. Kongo is a serious striker and a dangerous opponent for anyone. I would love to see a rematch, hopefully Pat will be able to finish that time.
