Thank god for that I don't want to see it again.

It was a draw but I would say bj should be propelled a lot more by it. Going into the third round the best situation for fitch would be to finish (lol) or get a 10/8 round, it was bjs fight to lose. In fact a lot of people thought bj won that fight, and the rest of the people would have given it to penn if he did maybe 10% more in that last round. But fitch edged the draw, so fair game to him but I'd not care much to see it again.

My first choice would be to see Fitch vs Condit in a number one contenders' match. BJ is a lightweight and I'd like to see him fight one of the contenders down there. Whichever would get him pumped to fight.

BJ should drop to LW or FW.

Exciting fights and opportunities there, now.

- Welterweight bout: B.J. Penn (167 lbs.) vs. Jon Fitch (170 lbs.)

Hes not built rite to fight at 170.

Penn lost that fight. Stellar first round, second round he starts to slow, and third was all Yawn Fitch. He didn't even attempt any subs from what I can remember. Pettis and Oliviera have a wicked guard constantly threatening attempts keeping their opponents guessing.

Condit vs Fitch would be wicked!
BJ vs Thiago is very interesting. I'm afraid he might get muscled around though. Thiago's gonna leg kick em to death and have his way.

If BJ loses this next match he's gonna be in no man's land...

Well Penn Vs Condit is happening, we can like it or not,

If this happens, seem's like the Ufc are treating Bj like the winner of that draw, as Condit is the "next" in line.

Im not sure who this leaves Fitch, obviously he won't fight Koscheck, who is rumored to be fighting at 185 his first fight back, Nov 19. Fitch will want to be on that San Jose card, MacDonald/Pyle winner, Shields/Ellenberger winner, could be ready, Rumble Johnson should def be able to go.

"Carlos Condit asked, B.J. Penn responded. Or, at least their "verified" Twitter handles did.

"The people have spoken," Condit tweeted to Penn on Monday evening. "They want to see us scrap. Let's give 'em what they asked for."

Less than 10 minutes later, Penn's official account responded: "Yup. Let's do it! October 29th."

The welterweight fight is not signed, nor is it locked in for an October date, according to Condit's manager Malki Kawa. In the hour before Penn agreed to the fight, Kawa sent out a series of tweets questioning the 32-year-old Hawaiian's willingness to agree to the bout.

But after Penn's reply, Kawa conceded the fight "will" happen. A source close to the promotion said the bout is "likely."

Seemingly a win away from the chance to fight for the UFC 170-pound title, Condit declined to comment any further until "the bout agreement is signed."

The 27-year-old welterweight out of Albuquerque stopped Dong Hyun Kim on July 2, raising his record to 27-5.

Before agreeing to meet Condit, Penn (16-7) was angling for a rematch against No. 2-ranked Jon Fitch, whom he drew with in February.

If the bout takes place as Penn requested, it would serve as part of the undercard to Georges St. Pierre's UFC welterweight defense against Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz at UFC 137. Featherweights Hatsu Hioki and George Roop are also slated for Mandalay Bay Events Center card in Las Vegas."

indeed. if bj was actually in trouble of being finished with all those punches then i would of scored it 10-8 but obviously that wasn't the case.

incredibly glad i'm not seeing this fight again to be honest.

Penn is my favourite fighter.

I had the first two rounds of the Fitch fight very even (Penn taking the first, the second a draw). The final round Fitch clearly won. So I think a draw was fair or a Fitch win if you had the first two rounds even and a Fitch 3rd round win or Fitch taking the final round 10-8.

I wouldn't mind seeing the rematch, I think if BJ tried to strike and move more he could win at least over 3 rounds because he didn't find it too hard to keep Fitch from taking him down until he tired and he spent a lot of time with Fitch putting his weight on him against the cage.

A Condit fight will be good to see anyways and I can see BJ winning that fight also. I think he holds his own against any of the WWs and only looses comfortably to GSP.
