Its funny though because Toronto has a team in the IFL.

I am right about UFC used to mix up the weightclasses though right?
Before they implemented weightclasses, they pretty much had no weight classes. Look at the early UFC fights, a 200lb man fighting a 400lb pound man. Something bad could have happened, it didn't cause the 400lb man sucked and got KO'd.

Fast forward to now, most fighters are well rounded and the fighting styles are almost even, so the "danger" is higher. Rules and weightclasses are there to protect fighters, if anyone is allowed to fight at any weight, someone could get seriously hurt or even die in the octagon/ring. I don't mind weightclasses or even some of the rules. I just wish they would hold a tournament for a certain weight division, that is big money the UFC could make.

Well since Dana is planning on holding oversea's events, he could plan out an Open Weight GP over a series of 3 or 4 ppv's. thats really the only way i can think of getting around the NSAC. Would that work?

Whenever I see or hear NSAC I get this mental image of a man in a suit (sorta like the agents in The Matrix) walking by a little girl eating an ice cream cone and slapping the ice cream out of her hand.

This isnt out the question. UFC could easily hold it in another country. In America.. no you will never see a Open Weight Tourny... if your looking for that watch Pride right now.

I know you wanna see the UFC guys do it, but as of right now thats unlikely to be seen for some time.

My 12 fighter army is as follows:

Dan Henderson
Mac Danzig
Mirko "the man" Filipovic
Anderson Silva
Fedor and Aleks
Mark Hunt
BJ Penn
Q. Rampage Jackson
Karo Parisyan
John Fitch
Frank Shamrock

Wow and you call your self Canadian??

There is a CANADIAN only network calls The Fight Network, check it out, i have seen almost every league there is due to this channel,

And i live in ontario, and where i live i can train and compete in MMA competitions, have you ever heard od Mark "The Machine" Hominick? hes from Berrie!!!

common now, dont spew ignorance please!!

MMA is allowed in Canada, Kicks the the face are Allowed in Canada, Elbows to down fighers are allowed!!

hey wait a second, anything that you want to watch after 10PM is fair game!!

We dont have a sports regulating commission like the states, the cloest thing we have is the HRDC (but this has nothing to do with sport regulations)

For most of you, ignorance is bliss, but for me it's about the truth.
