I don't see this being that interesting. I personally think that a good LHW would beat the hell out of a ww or a heavy weight would beat down a mw. I could only see like a one division jump for this. Like a HW vs. LHW, MW vs. WW and etc.

common now, dont spew ignorance please!!

MMA is allowed in Canada, Kicks the the face are Allowed in Canada, Elbows to down fighers are allowed!!

hey wait a second, anything that you want to watch after 10PM is fair game!!

We dont have a sports regulating commission like the states, the cloest thing we have is the HRDC (but this has nothing to do with sport regulations)
ummmm...sure you can train in Ontario...I do so in Hamilton, but MMA Fights ARE ILLEGAL in Ontario my friend.

no one is spewing ignorance except you.

no regulating commission? try the Ontario Athletic Commission which has made it illegal to partake in MMA Fights under Section 83 of the Canadian Criminal Code.

as for ya boy Mark Hominick...first, he trains in Barrie, and second, all of his fights have taken place in TKO, which runs its events in Montreal mainly. Why? Because it's illegal in Ontario.

Its funny though because Toronto has a team in the IFL.

I am right about UFC used to mix up the weightclasses though right?
Dude, BC has a huge MMA following, look up king of the cage, they have shows all the time in bc...I went and watched one in Vernon it was alright!

The open weight thing wont happen, however I agree they should have like HW, LHW, MW, WW, LW tournaments.

Fast forward to now, most fighters are well rounded and the fighting styles are almost even, so the "danger" is higher. Rules and weightclasses are there to protect fighters, if anyone is allowed to fight at any weight, someone could get seriously hurt or even die in the octagon/ring. I don't mind weightclasses or even some of the rules. I just wish they would hold a tournament for a certain weight division, that is big money the UFC could make.

was that meant to be funny? i doubt it, but it was!!!

Ya the NSAC sucks.

But Dana White said if PRIDE is selling PRIDE then he'd buy it so... maybe we'd see an over seas Open Weight Tourni.

I'd really like to see how Chuck/Randy and those LHW's that can fight Heavyweight can fair in a tourniment.

What is it that is going to be on your mind when you're on your death bed? Will it be the tedious years of 9 to 5, or the memory of some great acheivement. Maybe a moment you stood in glory to the applause of millions.

It maybe illegal in Ontario, but it is not illegal in Canada. I know that Quebec, Edmonton and B.C all sanction it, but B.C doesn't allow elbows to the face of a downed opponenent(not 100% sure). Other provs may allow it aswell.
