shogun is gonna lose to forrest and i will stand and stare at my tv and ill laugh, then when he loses again for coming not fit and eating a kebab on the way to the ring he'll get cut and end up his brother, if you cant come in shape for a title fight then you should be disgraced.

yeah but those guys are tubby heavyweights who havent been in title fights and quite frankly have more heart, shogun officially lost me as a fan after that fight never forgive him. and who doesnt love iron chin hunt and im pregnant nelson who ko'd shaub

Have more heart...
There is not one single LHW that would have kept going after 1 round with Jones like Shogun did. He`s been through wars both in PRIDE and UFC.... his heart was NEVER in question.
Try going through many injuries and multiple knee surgeries...

Well technically he did give up in the JBJ by tapping, but I don;t blame him. It was quite obvious he was overmatched and taking serious damage. That along with the fact that he was gassed after round one and still had another 3 and a half rounds left would have meant possible career ending fight.
Personally I think it's better to resign to the better man with hopes of coming back stronger.

That is true, however the fight was already stopped. I re-watched that fight many times... I stick by my guns. There's no one in LHW that would take that punishment the way Shogun did without cracking or getting TKO'd/SUB'd in the first, early second.

Agreed. Most would have faked a ko long before then. And it was stopped by the ref before he tapped, but he was in a world a pain that he didn't even notice. Also I think a body shot did him in and as anyone who has been hit in the body when not expecting it would know, it is quite difficult to continue fighting after that.
