Tito doesnt even try to beat Chuck in both matches *video inside*

When you watch Tito fight other people, he over powers them, shooting for them, slamming them, and elbowing them. But when he fought chuck, he just covers up and lets chuck hit him, and it seems like when he shoots its half assed, and then he just lays down and covers his face and lets Chuck pound him without fighting for a submission, is something going on?

Exactly. It's not like Tito didn't want to take Chuck down, he just couldn't. He was covering up waiting and looking for an opportunity for a takedown. Every time you attempt a takedown you expose yourself and become very vulnerable to a striker especially if your takedown is stuffed. Doing this wildly and trying to force the issue only makes this worse. Problem is that Chuck generally doesn't give you any openings and when one appears, he closes it very very quickly. To take Chuck down you have to create an opening and in order to do that Chuck has to respect your striking. Chuck doesn't respect Tito's striking.

Randy is stronger and has more experience with take downs then Tito does. But here it is agian, Chuck showed (in his last two fights with Randy) that chasing after him and forcing takedowns doesn't work. As someone stated before he's great at throwing stuffing jabs and crosses on big shoots. If you get by those his sprawl is always ready.

Tito is also nervous. He lost to chuck in the past and he didn't want to lose agian which can put a lot of people into a defensive mode of fighting. That's one of the reasons he protects his oversized melon so much when the combos come in. What he should have been doing is moving his feet to get out of distance so he can be ready for the shoot or counters. But since Tito doesn't have the ability to recognize opens for counters just yet it's not likely you'll see many.

Almost every BJJ and grappler that's fought Chuck has been forced to stand with him. Chuck has a simple, effective style that will win him many more fights. Chuck has yet to face someone that can hold their own in a stand up besides Jeremy Horn and Vitor Belfort (and the loss to Rampage). If Rampage can't get it done look for up coming fighters that have strong kicks/leg kicks and are able to get inside for the clinch. Someone with a good muay tai back ground and some judo thrown in would make for a great opponent agianst Chuck. Maybe a good version of Vitor Belfort even.

When Chuck is taken down, he is vunerable while getting back to his feet. He gives up his back for a moment, but no one has been fast enough to take advantage of it.

Tito went for the takedown in both fights..He just couldn't really get it. In the second fight he got him down and took has back Liddell can get off his back and defence submissions very well. Liddell is just that good.
