Maybe at the time they started making it Loiseau seemed likely to keep being a top fighter or something...otherwise can't really figure out why he was in it so much.

Loiseau was in it to provide contrast with GSP. At the time they started GSP had just won the WW belt and Loiseau had just lost his title shot against Franklin and one other fight (I think). Basically GSP was on his way up and Loiseau was on his way down.

I don't mind Loiseau being in it at all, the basic idea of following two fighters on potentially different paths is an excellent one. Unfortunately, their execution was awful.
