Can Matt Serra give GSP some trouble?

Is his ground game good enough to make GSP work for the win?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Serra has a great ground game. That's about it for him. If he can take GSP down, then he may have somewhat of a chance. That being said, he won't get Georges down. He could barely take Lytle down. This will be like an adult fighting a child, and will probably look eerily similar to the Sherk fight.

This, for all intents and purposes, will be a one sided beating.

actually it will be a one sided, quick beating. but now i'm just splitting hairs. serra's ground game is good, but if hughes had trouble taking gsp down what makes you think serra will have any success...he couldnt get lytle down without exerting all his force and letting out a primal yell to boot.

look for gsp to outclass him early.

If Serra can get past the first round, then it'd be a moral victory for him.

We should start making "Can Matt Serra even get past the first round?" topics.

Don't forget that Serra took both BJ Penn and Karo Parysian (he also almost knocked him out several times) to a 3 round decision.

He'll most likely lose but he is no push over. Don't be suprised if the fight goes into the later rounds.
