Yeah, he probably made up the 85%, there's a reason that polling and statistics are a science and not something an insider can just guesstimate perfectly accurately, but the fact is that he's probably more right than wrong, and he knows better than most us.

it's undeniable that if you have the cash, it's not too hard to cheat under most AC's at least moderately, and it was much easier in the past. furthermore the punishment has for various reasons sometimes been little more than a slap on the wrist for a fighter's schedule of competition. sure there are probably the odd few that have never taken something they were pretty sure was illegal but im betting most have even if only for a while, in a period where they knew they wouldn't test positive before it flushed.

Everybody good, plenty of slaves for my robot colony?

Hang on, I thought Chael Sonnens backne was related to something else? I mean come on, how rediculously blissfully ignorant do you have to be to think these guys with exploding backne are straight shooters. Even once they get done for being over the limits there are still excuses. Everybody knows it's rife, now the athletic commissions need to do something about it!

Just look how the 100m sprint cleaned up it's imae with the help of the IAAF. They did a damn good job and it really helped the sport! The longer these roid beasts remain in the game, the broad based audience MMA wants to reach is never going to happen! Simple as that.

Why drop Chael Sonnens name in this??

Everything Chael Sonnen has done or is doing is out there in the open. He has been getting a testosterone boost for a while now and its not like he denies it. There were complications last time and that got taken care off.

move on guy

agreed. i would think hes part of the "85%" that use

there's so many ways to get by undetected. random testing would solve this completely

I find Soszynski's comments pretty ignorant, considering he can't back it up with solid proofs.

If he wants to prove it, why doesn't he go all super secret detective and presents some real evidence to support his claims?!

I'm a supporter of "not guilty until proven otherwise".

Everything else is speculating.

It seems the athletic commissions don't care though because they're not testing fighters when they're not fighting. They make up all these rules but don't enforce them.

Dennis Hallman said the same thing when he was on Inside MMA a few months back.

I believe it. Since the fighters all know whats going on inside their own gyms, better than we who sit and write on message boards.

Fedor, Mir, Lytle, Serra, Hendo, Chuck, Minowaman, Maynard, Forrest, Hunt
Pickett, Cerrone, Matt Brown, Bisping, Weidman, Barnett, Lawler

Whether or not what he said is 100% true there is undoubtedly a shocking lack of concern about PEDs in MMA and in American sport in general. You might say that he is speculating - but if there was proper testing we would know if the sport was clean or not.

As for Sonnen - well this is a joke. Why does he need this treatment? Obviously because he used PEDs in the past. And also if you have low levels well that is tough - either work through it naturally or try something else.

Too many "IFs"...not in your post, but in general, regarding this situation.

I am all for testing, but until something actually happens, everything is just speculation unfortunatelly.

Well I mean weed could be considered a PED if you talk to some BJJ guys who swear by rolling while high. It really just depends on what you consider a PED. You can make the number as big and as small as you want. I'm really only concerned about the ones that either greatly increase the risk of injury or death and the ones that increase physical strength, speed, and stamina to abnormal levels.
