I don't think Pearson has the skill set to defeat Barboza.

If he trained non stop wrestling in the last months and has gotten great at...i might give him a chance.

Otherwise, Barboza will be too fast for him and he will punish Pearson with leg kicks and muay thai.

I think Pearson can control him quite well, his wrestling could be a factor and training with Phil Davis can't be harming his chances. His standup is solid, good thai, and his size is gonna be a problem for Barboza.

Really not sure about all this talk about size and wrestling.

First, Pearson isn't really that big at all. He's 5'8 and moderately sized while Barboza is well known as a big LW at 5'11 and thickly muscled.

As far as wrestling goes, Pearson is British and is terrible at wrestling while Barboza has a competent sprawl and takedown defense. Meanwhile, Pearson will probably stand up with anyway, and there is a pretty dramatic difference in power between the two. Pearson is a bit of a feather fist, while Barboza certainly has knockout power....and Pearson's chin isn't that fantastic either.

Pearson's wrestling is not too bad, and the time with Alliance is a good move, he obviously knew that was how he is going to beat Barboza...with wrestling. and the team there are pretty damn good.

but to say "Pearson is British and is terrible at wrestling"....is this from tape you've seen or the old myth that British wrestling is terrible? Heard of John Hathaway?
