GSP, Anderson, GSP, and Franklin are locks in my opinion. Rampage should be on that list.

I don't think Mir deserves to be on the list, but that's just my opinion.

We'll also have to wait on how the careers of Machida and Evans continue to go to see if they are HoF material.

Andy Wang should have his place locked down.

And as for the candidates in general: being a champ I don't think should guarantee anything in terms of the HOF.

Thinking long term (IMO), they need to consider/induct only those fighters with long and/or significant careers only, lest they run the risk of having to induct any/every fighter who has held a belt.

.
The way I see it, if a fighter is always in a main event or was for a long time always a main event fighter, especially those still fighting today, should be prime candidates for HOF.

Frank has been champion and has been in some very high profile fights over the years in a division which has produced no significant legends other than Couture. Frank Mir is old school and still competing at the top today, he's a possibility for sure.

Ortiz
Penn
Anderson
Franklin
GSP
Griffin
Rampage
Evans
Mir

Also for their Pride/UFC careers combined...

Shogun
Wandy

Throw Hendo in there too.

Wow. Some of you have a pretty broad selection process. This is the Hall of Fame we are talking about. Only a select few glorious fighters should be in there.

Out of that list, only Silva deserves it. GSP is not far away. The rest have done f*uck all.( dont hate... I'm in a theatrical mood ). Sure, some of them are characters that we fans love. I adore some of the dudes listed. But, Hall of Fame should be about outstanding fights and unbeaten runs throughout a whole career. Not the odd magical moment in a mediocre life. Even Tito has looked like shit lately. Silva is 35. Most of these dues were rubbish at 35 if fighting at all. Silva still brings it Yoda style.

It pains me to say this shit, as I particularly love Penn. But he hasnt done enough.

As much as I love Wandy, Pride-careers shouldn't count towards you getting into the UFC HoF...

If you base it on the merit that Zuffa bought Pride, then should people from StrikeForce also be considered in the future if they have no significant involvement in the UFC?

Overeem is currently world champion in three different promotion, one owned by Zuffa - legendary as that may be, he should not in any shape way or form be considered currently

I don't want the UFC hall to turn out like the NFLs. I think it should be reserved for the greatest of the great. The only fighters that should be in the hall so far should be Hughes, GSP, Chuck and Silva. Maaaybe Couture, maybe.

I want it to be exclusive, but Couture definately belongs - as does Frye and Penn whenever he retires.

I'm a big Frye fan but you should need more than a fantastic moustache to get in the hall of fame. Like Sooj said, Penn hasn't done enough

Don Frye:
The UFC 8 Tournament Champion, Ultimate Ultimate 1996 Tournament Champion and UFC 10 Finalist
That's a pretty impressive list, he was essential to the company at that time

Why does Couture belong? His defining feature is being in the UFC since 13. Thats an amazing length of time to be competitive. But thats all hes been for a long looong time: competitive.

I dont mean to slur. These are great fighters. But Hall of Fame needs to transcend greatness. IT should represent the very pinnacle of MMA. Popularity should count for squat.

All my opinion of course. Feel free to piss on it whilst mumbling something along the lines of, "pinnacle this, you c*unt"
