Care to share why?

- Longest UFC title reign
- Most titledefences (Succesful)
- Most consecutive wins in the UFC (13-0)
- Beat the former LHW champ
- Tooled the most dominant champion the MW division had seen up until then - twice!
- One of the most unorthodox and exciting fighters in the game

Why does Couture belong? His defining feature is being in the UFC since 13. Thats an amazing length of time to be competitive. But thats all hes been for a long looong time: competitive.I dont mean to slur. These are great fighters. But Hall of Fame needs to transcend greatness. IT should represent the very pinnacle of MMA. Popularity should count for squat.

- Couture was the first fighter to hold UFC titles in two different weight-classes
- First fighter to have five total title-reigns (plus one interim)
- UFC 13 was a tournament, which he won
- Most title-fights in UFC history at 15
- Most successful defences of the HW championship (3, tied with Tim Sylvia)

I'd say that is a pretty good qualification right there!

And BTW, you're right - I really should stop feeding that thing

Don Frye's UFC record is 9-1, with two tournament wins and a finalist appearance and loss to HOF'er Mark Coleman. His record compared to the HOF'ers from his era

Royce Gracie 11-1-1
Don Frye 9-1
Dan Severn 9-4
Ken Shamrock 7-5-2
Mark Coleman 7-5

I think that the UFC should put half of their tournament winners into the Hall of fame.

1. Don Frye
2. Frank Shamrock
3. Bas Rutten
4. Pat Miletich
5. Vitor Belfort
6. Rich Franklin
7. Quinton Jackson
8. BJ Penn
9. Forrest Griffin
10. Anderson Silva

And then they should put together a special Pride wing for Shogun, Wanderlei, Noguirea, Sakuraba, and Cro-Cop.

Love the topic, VERY debatable.

Personally, I think Frye should already be in there. I think BJ and Randy are both a clinch due to each holding a belt in two different weights. That is the type of accomplishment that reaks of HOFer imho.

Anderson and GSP, no comment. If they're both not clinches, than someone needs to define what a HOF is to me exactly.

Rashad/Machida? Too early right now, but they're both on their way if they go another 3-4 strong years. I think Forrest deserves no mention in the same breath as the HOF, but I suppose his fight with Bonnar, and the impact it had on the UFC will make it hard to deny him at some point.

You people do know Randy Couture is already in the Hall of Fame and has been for years?

Out of that list, only Silva deserves it. GSP is not far away. The rest have done f*uck all.( dont hate... I'm in a theatrical mood ). Sure, some of them are characters that we fans love. I adore some of the dudes listed. But, Hall of Fame should be about outstanding fights and unbeaten runs throughout a whole career. Not the odd magical moment in a mediocre life. Even Tito has looked like shit lately. Silva is 35. Most of these dues were rubbish at 35 if fighting at all. Silva still brings it Yoda style.

It pains me to say this shit, as I particularly love Penn. But he hasnt done enough.
I understand what you are saying but I disagree with it strongly. To me a Hall of Fame becomes a joke in one of two ways, one way is the NBA Hall of Fame where 80% of the Allstars make it. The other way is the MLB Hall of Fame which takes it to the other extreme only letting one person in a year and setting absurd and arbitrary rules to keep players out. It's at a point where if a player had any controversy what so ever their kept out.

The UFC should induct 1-3 fighters a year till they reach the point where they have one fighter in per year of UFC existence.

I do not see Franklin or Griffin ever making it to the UFC hall of fame. If Griffin does it will be solely because of the TuF finale fight, which is a shame.

Machida will have to do a lot to get there as well but I think he ha s alot more fight left in him than these other two.

It's a shame? Because of that finale fight UFC's raiting and PPV buys sky rocketed and its popularity took off. The UFC owes him a lifetime of respect!
