Anderson Silva vs Yushin Okami
Mauricio Rua vs Forrest Griffin
Minotauro Nogueira vs Brendan Schaub
Ross Pearson vs Edson Barbosa
Luiz Cane vs Stanislav Nedkov
Prelim Card Televised
Thiago Tavares vs Spencer Fisher
Rousimar Palhares vs Dan Miller
I should elaborate on my pics...
Anderson Silva dominates Yushin's tentative, one dimensional striking & resists takedowns via Mark Munoz upgraded grappling. Phil Davis had difficulty taking Little Nog down after Munoz had trained with him. I think Silva should have improved wrestling enough to deal with Okami and destroy him standing despite Chael Sonnen saying nice things to support his teammate.
I see Shogun wrecking Forrest on the feet and using his improved Mark Munoz inspired grappling to stay upright. Forrest didn't like being hit by Rampage. Shogun hits hard, too.
Brendan Schaub has fast hands with power and technique. Two things that Big Nog has struggled with. Schaub also has a good base from years playing football and training with Carwin he must know enough wrestling to deal with Nog if he decides to go for takedowns. I think Schaub should win this.
Barboza's striking is better than Ross Pearson's, I think. I could be wrong though. Barboza beat Njokuani and Njokuani is a bad dude. I don't think Pearson has anything for him.
Luiz Cane KO's or TKO's the newcomer.
Thiago Tavares will defeat Fisher who has lost 3 out of his last 4, I'm thinking.
Palhares is a beast. I don't think Miller will be able to slow him down much less stop him.
Hard work is the only real PED.
