For the record, I blame M-1.
Yep.

I think Dana played his cards right. I would hate to have a bunch of managers running the show with ridiculous demands.

How is he worrying about Fedor? He never thought Fedor was worth the praise he got, yet was willing to pay him a shit-ton of cash to make the core fans happy. He does not bring Fedor up. The media does. He is answering questions. Im sure he would be delighted to never have to answer another question regarding him as long as he lives.

Not exactly sure. When they initially split Millen and the remaining people at M-1 said it was amicable. But it was right after a story leaked about how M-1 was losing investors, downsizing, panicking about Fedor's loss, etc. There was speculation that Millin was the source and was let go.

I don't know if that's true, but earlier this year, Millen tweeted that M-1 was deeply in debt and Fedor's partial ownership was just a sham to keep control of him. Then he put the master tapes to M-1's challenge series on eBay, supposedly to recoup money M-1 still owed him for their production.

So, the split doesn't seem to be as amicable as initially reported.

I'm not sure if it was on some mysterious island that Dana is always mentioning, but a sit down meeting did actually happen. Millen said he was on the phone while Dana and Fedor spoke about Dana talking shit on Fedor. I could be wrong and Fedor was on the phone too, but there was definitely some meeting.

Just what I was going to say, +rep for being real. Dana was right about Fedor, and he never lied when he said the offer was crazy. This subject should be put to bed, not sure why the media keep bringing it up.

This makes me wonder how many fights Fedor would have had to lose in order to get cut from the UFC had he signed that giant contract. Im not saying he def would have lost right away, just curious as to how much leeway the UFC would have allowed him with a giant contract.

Dana is so full of shit. He himself spread rumors that he offered Fedor and M1 a $30 million fight contract before he signed with SF. Then Ariel interviewed M1 and they said they would have accepted that in a heartbeat with no other concessions and would have disregarded co-promotion to get it.

This is just Dana polluting the fan base again, he's done it a hundred times to Fedor/M1 and he'll continue to in the future.

Millions and millions of dollars must have been less than what they were making with the Strikeforce co-promotion deal.

I don't think you can put a number on the exposure you get from fighting on CBS.
