I like Goldy and I accept that any commentator in any sport is eventually gonna have a lot of "go to" things they say. Its the nature of sports to repeat themselves.

He has some corny phrases, but what commentator doesn't?
I think he's very professional and a good commentator.

I'll be the first to say it I hold disdain for goldy. I can barely listen to him say anything. His voice is annoying to me and when I listen to him commentate fights it makes me feel better about myself because of how bad he is at explaining in depth anything that is going on. To me his commentary is just slightly better than that of strikeforce.
I would not mind if he was replaced. He is the main reason I prefer to watch fights muted.

yeah this, hes a nice guy and he is professional but he is really just a soundbyte to me, his mma knowledge is no where near joes and everytime someone is touched at all the guy is 'rocked' and also he plugs stupid promos in exciting moments of the match when he could just do it in between rounds, i remember he was announcing subway once at the same time someone was getting KO'd

Thats because Goldy is the play by play announcer and Joe is the color commentator. The CC is supposed to have and provide expert analysis, therefore Joe should have more mma knowledge. |

right but remember rutten and that other guy from pride, both were a great team and knew there stuff very well and they didnt annoy people with plugs in the middle of fights

Goldy may be less knowledgeable than the duo you are referring too but for the Play by Play guy to be less informed than the CC is how its intended to be. |
