In my eyes this is basically a re-match of Nate Diaz and Mcdonald apart from where every participant is 5 years down the line. GSP will ragdoll Diaz all over the ring with his wretsling and size "I think".

As long as it isn't a lay and pray fest it should be a very good fight.

I doubt that Nick will lay around enough for you guys to feel like GSP is doing a lay n pray for a decision. Its funny how all the keyboard warriors can bash GSP but wouldn't last 30s with him without being severely hurt.

There are long time posters, even mods on here saying that GSP inflicts the minimal amount of damage to win the fight.
He almost broke Dan Hardy's arm.
He messed up Jon Fitch's face bad.
He broke Josh Koscheck's orbital bone and knocked him out of competition for a very long time.
He made BJ quit in between rounds because he had taken such a bad beating for 4 rounds.

I agree that it would be nice to see GSP finish the fight but most of the comments are coming out of hate and nothing else. GSP is a Karate Black Belt, a BJJ Black Belt, has the best MMA wrestling (or maybe 2nd only to Chael) and is fairly proficient with his boxing. You guys make it sound like he has no skills and brings nothing to the table. The guy has TKO victories, KO victories submission victories and decision victories.

You also have to remember that GSP didn't come into the UFC as a KO artist with crazy knockout power where he was 1 punch KO'ing everyone he fought. He's a hard worker and uses his skillset to beat the other guy. I think most people are expecting him to do exactly what Anderson Silva has done in his last two fights, unfortunately you're expecting a bull to produce milk.

I think GSP is fed up with people talking about him finishing. I know this is his toughest fight in a while, but I really think he will get a finish this time. He's too damn talented and he's probably very pissed off.

Haven't really got a clue which way this one is going. Not sure how anyone can be too confident either way. Kind of hoping Diaz catches GSP with a few because I'm not sure if he can take too many. Not because I don't like GSP or anything like that but this division suddenly becomes a whole lot more interesting with Diaz as champion imo.

who makes BJ quit? watched the fight again a couple of days ago, GSP's nasty, so far from the lay & pray

he's obviously not a finisher but he always puts on a clinic, except maybe on shields, that wasn't his great fight, but every fight before that was pretty much humiliating for his opponents. Kos was helpless in between rounds, he wanted to quit too

He'll probably get a finish because Nick isn't afraid to take shots or put himself in a bad situation. GSP hasn't faced anyone who goes balls out like Nick in awhile.

Did he make BJ quit, or did his corner throw in the towel? Did BJ say no mas or give that look that he wanted no more?

Honestly I have no idea how people are saying he will finish Diaz. Who in this sport has done that? Why would a guy known for not taking chances and not finshing his opponents KO or submit someone that hasnt been submitted or finshed before? With the exception of cuts, I think the chances of GSP finishing Nick are small.

BJ didn't stop his corner from throwing in the towel. BJ allowed his corner to quit for him = same thing.

As above mentioned, Diaz puts himself in bad situations and will try to pressure GSP. This will leave GSP open to really let go and put himself in a fight instead of out pointing / keeping guys at bay.

Striking Diaz will keep moving forward.

On the ground Diaz will be active looking for subs.

This will force GSP to fight at a high pace and he will have to be relentless if he wants to win. I don't see this being a grind out type of fight. I think GSP will get the W. But regardless of who wins someone is likely getting finished.
