To those of you who believe weed helps anxiety, it can - but it can also result in the exact opposite... I won't write the exact same post in this thread that I just made in the other Diaz-thread, but here's a link to it:

It also has an article on research of the subject

Weed effects everyone differently, just as alcohol or any other drug does. Like I said, they help me a lot and I'm a pretty happy person on both, whereas a buddy of mine gets really paranoid while high and is easily angered when getting a little tipsy.

Not defending Diaz at all, I think pulling him from the main event was the right call, but even if he doesnt have some anxiety disorder, I can see why he would be completely uncomfortable at press events. Everytime the guy gets a microphone in front of his face, he comes off looking like a dumbass, im not trying to be funny here. He sounds like an angry jackass everytime he is interviewed, maybe he started to pay attention to the way he looked and decided it would be in his best interest to avoid those situations from now on. If I were in his shoes and saw how I came off, I wouldnt want to be interviewed anymore either.

I'd have anxiety and panick attacks too If I were less than two months away from being locked inside a cage against GSP

If he needs help then let's hope he gets it, but he did plenty of press conferences for SF so he picked a pretty bad time to be a no show.
