Overeem is brutally over-rated....and so is Lesnar. Thats why I think this fight is such a good new/bad news fight for me.

The good news is they are both horribly over-rated and one of them has to lose. The bad news is they are both horribly over-rated and one of them has to win, and gets to stay over-rated for a little while longer.

I suppose I'd rather see Overeem win because he isn't quite as douchey, but I don't care much one way or the other.

I picture Brock's camp looking to Pat Berry to get Brock ready for this fight. I see Pat telling them that he'll get right on that if first he can figure out how to turn water into wine....

Not sure how Brock is competitive in this fight...

The guy can take a punch better than anyone I have seen. He just doesn't like it and runs away. Who else has been whaled on like that by Carwin and Cain, and hasn't gone out?

No, you're right: Brock has a good beard. He just doesn't react well to strikes to the face.

I don't blame him... i wouldn't want to get hit in the face by either of those guys.

He didn't have a beard in the Carwin fight.

Brock definitely can take a good punch as seen before.

Come to think about it, who would like to get hit by Carwin and Cain? Every fighter those guy's touched went down and stayed down, but not Brock. Were Rothwells, Big Nogs, Mir's or Conzagas reactions any better..

WAR BROCK
A conpiracy has to, by definition, involve more than one person. No one was crying conspiracy about the situation, but there was certainly a lot of speculation going on.

Exactly! I just hope he can improve his reactions to actually getting hit.

I for one would love to watch a Brock fight that doesn't involve dancing across the ring when he takes a punch.

All the training videos that I have seen brock in involved strength training and sparring, but the sparring was one sided in that Brock was the only one throwing punches. He should do defensive drills where he can't strike back but must defend against a flurry attack.

No one expects him to strike like Overeem, but people do expect that if you are a fighter you are use to taking a punch or two. I like Brock (he has warmed on me), but I think if he wants to get to the top then he needs to work on his holes.

I doubt that he will much. I've seen many people that react afraid when getting hit in the face train for years. They're getting better to some extent, but they never come to the level of tolerance like those people that didn't have much trouble with getting hit from start on. The reaction and ability to get used to it is very much depending on predisposition (be it genetics or early childhood imprint). And let's not forget, we're talking here about getting used to get punched by heavy weights who can put people to sleep with one punch.
