Well I just got done watching the fight and the knee didn't catch him square on the chin. Plus Marquardt isn't exactly known as a KO artist now is he? Stann has the power to put sonnen on queer street.

Stann does stand a chance, I just think it is more likely he will lose.

Nate is definitely known for his power. Not to mention A. Silva caught Sonnen a couple times with some good shots too. Shots that would probably really rock other fighters.

I know you hate the man and all, but give respect where it's due. Sonnen can take a punch and is tough as nails.

I don't see Stann winning this. It really sucks because I would like him to, but it's just not going to happen.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

No. Sonnen will beat anyone he faces unless they have a good triangle. Yes, Stann triangled that one guy but I think he didn't respect Stann's ground game enough to properly defend against it.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

Oh yea he stands a chance. A very small one, and Id be just immensely shocked if stann was even competitive in this fight. If he gets a 29-28 loss I will give the man props, hell ill give the man props anyways, dude is a badass.

of course he stands a chance albeit a slim one, i hate this match up because sonnen is my fav and stann is just a class act, i was hoping stann would get munoz and knock him off and sonnen to get someone else but im expecting a sonnen-miller type performance.

Stann has better footwork and when Chael rushes him, he's gonna crack that SOB's head hard, move backwards, repeat. I think he'll play the distance game with Chael and make his counters count, and it doesn't take many for Stann to put guys away.

Chael could dry hump Stann for three rounds, but this would just add to his overall unimpressiveness and get him into another fight with Anderson Silva, which he will lose again.

Probably not. The only way Chael ever loses is by submission. Yeah he has 11 losses, but 9 of those were subs, and the other two were chance occurances (freak cut, close majority decision) and very early in his career.

I don't think Stann is quite up there with his subs.

Stann has a win via triangle on his record so that in itself means he has a chance against Chael.
