After reading through the posts I can say with confidence, Griffin has far more to the death fans than Shogun. I don't like the concept of to the death fans, but I'm okay with it.
On the OP. He might have said it, its very possible the guy who didn't even want to be fighting, and wanted to be home with his wife and soon-to-be daughter, was yelling stop when he was in the gray area between consciousness and blackout. But what's more likely is that Shogun was so in the moment and amped, he heard it in his head, even though it wasn't actually happening. Happens often in extreme stress and high energy events, especially with lots of noice which can cause auditory matrixing.
To rubber match with Machida: DO WANT! There's no better fight anywhere in MMA for either fighter right now.
