felt the need to post something since I actually read all of this garbage. Perhaps there is a more appropriate sport out there for some of you

If anything, he was respectful when he gives his opinion about forrest when he says "Griffin é um cara top, sempre entra bem na luta, com um bom preparo físico.".
When he says that Griffin yelled stop it adds insult to injury. It paints forest as a coward instead of a fighter. Some people will look at this and say "forest as a ***** for yelling for a stop and looking for a way out." let the guy keep the little bit of dignity he may have left I say.

However I admit sometimes I may be rather harsh and have rather high standards when it comes to judging character.

Ok lets address that, since that's really what it boils down to. If the story is true, does that make Forrest a coward? Personally I don't think so. Too many people think that fighting for a living and taking damage is like another day in the office and it's not. This isn't like most other sports in that real physical harm can happen to the athlete.

If a person during a fight realizes that they are overwhelmed or overmatched, or injured/not in shape etc.. then they should not be riddiculed for knowing when to say "enough".

Most people here have never competed in MMA and I am sure a good % have never been in a fight, so who are they to judge? It's like the old war hawks that scream war but have never served a day in their lives.

When you're inside the cage, its all about being the alpha male and using everything in your capabilities to make that person quit. So I do not fault shogun for continuing to pound away on Forrest. What bothers me is telling the world afterwards that he heard Forrest say stop. You need to show some respect for the fighter you get locked in the cage with after the fight whether you win or lose.

The one exception is if he were to say this for a pre fight promotion against Griffin in which we all know is all about entertainment purposes which is not the case here.

-1 Respect for Shogun

Honestly I don't think he is a coward either. I would never do it (I fight to the end that's just the way I am) however I completely understand why someone would and I think it's ok. However there are alot of keyboard warriors and couch warriors that would see it this way so why put the other fighter in the position to be judged this way?

I don't see much wrong.

He has to fight until the ref stops it, so even if Forrest said stop he just continued until the ref stopped it.

The way he said it was also not so disrespectful in my opinion, I mean he was just saying what happened.

Him yelling stop is what makes him look like a bitch not the crying or running away(which he did after this fight) he has done several times. That makes perfect sense to me. No one who is actually a fan of his is going to say "He yelled stop this is the last straw!!!"

LOLZ@Dignity, this is Forrest we are talking about he is a clown. Who is taking personal offense to someone submitting to strikes? It is a point of mockery but it ranks pretty low on the Forrest scale.
