I think if Cain beats JDS, he may hold the belt for a while, though if JDS beats Cain, i can see the belt changing hands pretty soon again. If that makes sense. . .

The HW division was a joke, if cain beats jds i'm gonna call him the greatest hw in ufc history. No disrespect to brock or randy...but randy fought some cans, brock defeated randy, imo did not really beat carwin.

I never really liked cain, but in every interview etc a lot of people are saying this dude is on a different level.

The thing about Couture is he was always fighting guys who were naturally bigger than him. He was one of those fighters who was caught in limbo between LHW and HW. A little too big for LHW, but a little too small for HW - yet you could never quite count him out.

And his reason for coming out of retirement? Cos he was sick of Tim Sylvia stinking out the HW division. Gotta love him for that alone

See i love randy, but i always question his abilities. To me pride had the best hws at that time. I don't think randy would have defeated a pride fedor. He did lose to big nog and i don't see the results of that fight being much different 7 years ago.

I would have loved to see how randy would have fair with Crocop.

I completely agree. Couture missed out (and we did too) on some great fights there. But i learned never to doubt Couture. On paper he'd have lost most his fights in Pride, but you never know with Randy

He never really looked the same after his contract dispute with the UFC - i think maybe his fingers were in other pies when he returned.

Edit: Just looking at the title defenses too, its not even 3 consecutive defenses, that record stands at 2! Thats abysmal.
