Because Rashad decided to wait for his title shot, unlike other fighters who decide to actually fight if they have to sit on their asses.

Page had beaten Hamill and Machida while Rashad had been sitting in the shelf.

I don't think age is coming into play for Page right now, he still has some great fights in him. I think it's his style that isn't affected with age so much.
Exactly, how is Rampage not finishing some of those fighters a logical reason that "father time" is catching up to him?

Did i say father time is catching up with him because he doesn't finish fights?

It's got nothing to do with finishing, Fedor murked Sylvia, Arlovski, and Rogers yet he fell into a decline, Wanderlei was killing people in PRIDE, just knocked out Jardine, it caught up to him too, same with Chuck, he was knocking guys out left and right, then time and most importantly the wear and tear of YEARS of fighting caught up with him.

Eventually, the damage adds up and history has shown us that when you get to that 33/34 year old mark that Rampage is now at, that's when the decline started for Fedor, Hughes, Wanderlei, etc, how can you be so sure that Rampage isn't gonna end up like those guys?

He was dropped by Machida and he was dropped by Evans and I think Jones can do a whole lot more damage than those guys.

Both he, Nick Diaz and Dominic Cruz make me very nervous to see how many good years they have left.

First, I don't consider Rampage to be a "legend" in the sport, so there's that.

Second, I'm guessing 'Page's age won't be the deciding factor in his lack of success; his inability to evolve as a fighter will be.

In addition, he's not exactly a speed merchant in any facet of the game; he's conviced he's an elite-level boxer; and he chooses to not use the (limited) wrestling he has.

Unless he chooses and is able to work on some/all of those things, I just don't see him with a belt again.

I totally agree. I think we may even see Rampage at his best... but he will still lose a lop-sided decision.

Rampages lack of commitment to MMA and effort in training will be his downfall long before he reaches a time where age could be considered a factor.

Exactly what I was going to say. One of his big problems is he trains when he wants to. Most fighters are training all the time, even in between fights, practicing and learning new BJJ, striking, etc. Rampage seems to be happy with what he has and uses his 8 week training camp to freshen up his current skills.
