Cain, Reem, JDS, Barnett, Carwin, Brock and Andy.
Perhaps a "medicated" Sonnen or a healthy Hendo.

A fight with Daniel Cormier may be closer that people would think.

Jones has won by dictating the fight, he has so far out wrestled his opponents, the only guys on this list Jones could out wrestle would put him to sleep in a matter of seconds.

See you can't say something like that, silva is a different fighter. U gotta understand unlike jones he has power and is top notch with his technique. I am not saying its a easy fight for any, but silva speed/technique is on a different level. It will takes bones another 4 years before his technique matches his talent.

Here is the thing silva is the better striker, goes has great wrestling, but i believe silva is a lot better on the ground. Its a very interesting match up.

as for this topic:

LHW: Machida, silva, sonnen ( if both moves up)...that is about it...don't think evans can hand in there

HW: Carwin, cain, jds, brock, reem, daniel c, werdum to an extend if he can avoid not being ko.

Yeah, ive been watching MMA since the early 90's also and think Jones is a talent we have never seen. Im not saying Joes beating Anderson is not possible, but t say he would take Anderson apart is bold.

Out of curiosity, why do some people think Carwin would beat Jones?

size, wrestling background to netrunlize jones's take downs, and 1 punch knock out power. Pretty much a bigger stronger version of rampage with better wrestling.

Machida, Henderson, Rua, Evans, and Jackson all have the tools to beat Jones. It just boils down to who is the better fighter on the night they meet up.

Proper preparation + a split second hesitation = total domination.

Most heavyweights, Jones hasn't filled out enough yet to fight there, and I have no idea at LHW, I'll get back to you after I see how he deals with Rampage.

Think. It Ain't Illegal Yet

I agree, like Vera he would probably have some success at HW, but as he got better and had to fight bigger guys he would run into some issues.

At LHW I honestly think he is probably going to run on for a while like GSP and AS, but the Rampage fight will be very telling. If he wins/loses a close fight then there are about 4 or 5 people I would put on the list. If he does to Rampage what he has done to everyone else then I will think he is untouchable, even to the almighty Lyoto.

I see. I guess thinking about how he manhandled and beat up Mir in the clinch its not a stretch to say he could do the same to Jones.

I think Cain is the only fighter that could challenge Jones atm imo and even in that fight i would pick Jones. I think Cain would have slightly better wrestling, but jones would be good enough to keep it standing anyway and i see Jones winning the striking battle. but other than that Jones destroys everyone.
