What fighters if any would you presently favor over Jon Jones at HW or LHW?

I thought about this and honestly could not come up with much.

For LHW I think I would favor Rashad Evans and if Anderson moved up I would favor him. Other than that I see Machida, Hendo, and Rampage being competitive with him to an extent, but do not think they could beat him.

If Jones moved to HW: I would favor Cain and JDS against Jones. Other than that I think fights with Overeem, Lesnar, Carwin, Barnett, Cormier and Mir could be interesting, but I would pick Jones to beat them all.

Im not even a big fan of Jon Jones so this opinion is by no way bias.

At his young age Jones is surely a big talent.

What are your thoughts?

Feel free to add to this list as well.

I would favor Cain, Dos Santos, Overeem, Werdum and maybe even Brock over JBJ (Mir would have good chances as well). LHW hmmm, I don't have anyone atm that I would favor over him but I do believe that Rashad, Lyoto and Rampage (in that order) would give him a run for his money.

I'm going to talk about LHW since this is the weight class he is competing and probably will stay for a couple of years.

We've seen him against an elite striker against Shogun, completely dominated that part.
Now he is squaring off against a boxer, which i quite frankly think he will win pretty easily.
Then there's Rashad Evans who has amazing wrestling. We have seen him against Bader but he is no Rashad.
Lyoto Machidas elusive style is an instant threat to everybody.

These last two could be the guy's to beat him, although i don't think they could.

LHW - Anderson Silva, that's it
HW - You have so many giant wrestlers and quality boxers can't really say for certain but I would go (Cain, JDS, Cormier, Barnett, Conrad, Russow) I think it would be close with Overeem, Lesnar, Mir and I think he would be favored with Nelson, Nog, Schaub, Werdum etc etc etc

I don't know how you guys can say A. Silva after watching the Sonnen fight. JBJ's GnP is very unforgiving and he's a bigger wrestler too.

Yeah, I think Jones could have success at HW but it would not come nearly as easy as it is for him at LHW.

JBJ is greco roman while Sonnen is freestyle, I don't think what Jones does wrestling wise would work against Anderson.

Sonnens level of wrestling is way better than Jones. Also there are few fighters who shoot in on their opponant better than Sonnen.

However, if Jone was able to get his hands on Anderson and put him on his back it could be very interesting.

I started watching UFC in 1993 with UFC #1, I've not missed an event since. Anderson Silva is different than anything I have ever seen, the only person who I believe can beat him is Jon Jones. Jones would take Anderson appart.
