Daley wants another shot in the UFC

Quote:
Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley is hoping to right some wrongs with his next fight when he returns to the scene of the crime in Montreal.

Daley is scheduled to take on former UFC fighter Luigi Fioravanti in the main event of Ringside 12 at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Oct 21, and the British slugger is hoping to make a mends for the mistakes he made the last time he was there.

At UFC 113 in May 2010, Daley lost a unanimous decision to Josh Koscheck, and following the fight Daley slugged Koscheck with a sucker punch after the fight was over.

Daley was promptly fired from the UFC, and president Dana White vowed he would never fight in the organization again.

Well, now Daley, who still remains under contract with the Zuffa owned Strikeforce, hopes to make it up to the fans in Montreal with his next fight, with his ultimate goal to earn his way back to the UFC.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Canada and re-writing the wrongs I made last time,” Daley said. “Luigi is a tough guy, but I’m so focused now and ready to perform. I will stop him. My goal now is to return to the UFC. I know I’m the best and I deserve to test myself against the rest who believe the same”

Daley last fought at BAMMA 7 in England where he picked up a win over fellow Octagon veteran Jordan Radev by unanimous decision.

As he heads into his next fight, Daley’s manager is also behind him and the changes he needs to make to prove to Dana White and everybody else at the UFC, that he’s ready to come back.

“Paul looked great against Radev at BAMMA 7 and is back on winning ways. Now we have the chance to head back to the Bell Centre in Montreal and put right what he once did wrong,” said Daley’s manager Wad Alameddine. “Paul has always loved the Canadian fans. They love a fight and love a guy that throws down. They’ve loved Paul before and will love watching Semtex again come October 21st. Fioravanti poses some interesting problems, but as always we are going into this fight confident and looking for the KO, expect fireworks at Ringside 12.”

Daley faces Fioravanti in the main event of Ringside 12 at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Oct 21.

This. Then he needs to start doing some MASSIVE ass kissing. After that 'I don't need the UFC' campaign he is really not on DW's 'WW's to look out for' list.

Besides, I completely believed DW when he said we would never see Daley in the UFC again. This isn't like his beef with Tito where it was personal, this was because of Daley's direct actions.

I believe Daley is really dumb person. If he wanted to be in the ufc he should have shut his mouth when Zuffa took over strikeforce + making several comments against Dana.

Too bad, he's irrelevant at 170 pounds.

GSP, Fitch, Shields, Koscheck, BJ, Diaz, Alves, Story, Brenneman, Ellenberger, Condit, Rumble, and Woodley would and in the case of Kos, Shields, Diaz, and Woodly already have beat him, and if he came in with a much better game plan Kampmann would probably beat him in a rematch, but Kampmann has by far the worst Fighter IQ in MMA.

He also doesn't make weight, and he's a one dimensional fighter, he's not needed.

lol. Seriously, tell us how you really feel.

The sad part is he is an exciting fighter and would make a good gatekeeper.

Don't worry Paul, I'm currently on the phone with Dana trying to work out a deal for your return. I think I'm making progress because at first, Dana was saying NEVER EVER EVER, now he is only saying NEVER EVER.

I'll also work on that 176lb weight division while I'm at it.

Missed weight on 4 of his last 9 fights. Even without hook-gate, he'd be off the roster for the over-weight infractions.
