Miguel Torres back aginst Nick Pace at UFC 139.

Former WEC champion Miguel Torres will look to get back on a winning track when he faces Nick Pace at UFC 139 in San Jose.

Pace first announced the bout via his Twitter account on Saturday, and Torres later did the same via his Twitter page.

It’s a pivotal point for Miguel Torres, who at one time was considered a candidate for the top pound for pound fighter in the sport.

Unfortunately for Torres, he’s fallen on harder times of late going 2-3 in his last five fights. His last fight, Torres lost a very close and somewhat controversial decision to current top bantamweight contender Demetrious Johnson.

Nick Pace will try to hand Torres his 2nd loss in a row when they meet at UFC 139, while he tries to avoid consecutive losses himself as well.

Pace came up short against Ivan Menjivar in his last fight, and is currently 1-2 in his time under the Zuffa umbrella so a win is almost a must if he wants to remain in the promotion.

UFC officials have yet to confirm the new bout, but if the fight becomes official it will likely end up on the preliminary portion of the show

Hopefully Torres is back to winning ways after this. Could be an exciting fight.

Nick Pace loses and they give him a tougher fight....

Torres should take this, but Pace seems like a good enough fighter to challenge him. The stylistic matchup favors Torres, though.
