Did you bother to read past the part you bolded before responding?
Yes Sonnen is a better challenger, why because Sonnen is interested in fighting at MW, Dan only wants to fight Silva so if Dan wins is he just gonna dump the belt and go back up to LHW? If he only is interested to cutting to MW in order to avenge his loss to Silva then its is a shit decision to give him a title shot.
You're just lucky, that if Hendo does get the shot, it's going to be in 2012. Otherwise your Fantasy League #1 days would of been numbered.
So close... so far.
I'd rather see Sonnen 2, then Hendo 2, then Stann fight.
“There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.”
One has to wonder... presuming Henderson defeats Shogun, will he be willing to wait around for Machida and Evans to have their respective title fights? The events of today may well push him to pursue a bout with Anderson for the title.
As much as I love Sonnen, I'd like to see him beat one more big name after Stann. I'm looking at you, Vitor.
Not fair to Sonnen? Got to be joking. Sonnen in no way, shape or form deserves a title shot for beating Stann. If I was Anderson, I'd just refuse to give him a rematch, if he wins, and force Dana's hand. Dana can't make them fight. Just b/c Sonnen looked good for 4.5 rounds doesn't take away from the fact that he was FINISHED. He tapped out. Get over it. You had your chance and blew it. If he can't beat a hurt Anderson Silva while he's on steroids, then he has no shot of beating a healthy Silva. It's not even a fight I'm interested in anymore.
