White to make Silva-Sonnen happen ASAP

"UFC president Dana White plans to arrange a rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen as soon as possible, after Sonnen issued the middleweight champion a stunning challenge at UFC 136."

White was later asked if he might use the Silva v Sonnen rivalry to fuel the next season of The Ultimate Fighter, but the president is far too keen to get the pair in the Octagon, as soon as Silva's shoulder has recovered from injury.

"Those guys really don't like each other," White said, according to USA Today. "Anderson, I don't know if any of you saw his face when [Chael] won, but he wasn't doing the whole joking around thing. He was pissed and he's really upset about the whole smacking his wife on the butt thing and cook him dinner. He's really upset about it. He's really pissed about it.

"I don't like to commit to anything the night of the fight. But yeah, I'd be pretty stupid if I don't make that fight. I want that fight to happen ASAP. They won't be coaching."

Looks like it's a done deal.

Awesome...the sooner the better. Anderson's about to turn 37 - pretty old for a fighter, especially one who relies on quickness. Even though he still kicks a**, lately he's had the look of someone who is not 100% into it anymore -I hope he retires before he gets beat a few times because of age and then the haters come out and say "told you he was overrated".

No one is going to say that about Silva. He's fought the best in the top division of mma for years. He's taken everyone. He's eventually going to lose, but all great fighters do. But yes, this may be his last epic battle. One thing for sure, I know he doesn't want to lose to Sonnen. Anyone but Sonnen.

Sonnen looked really good in his fight.... I believe it is the first time he has finished anyone in the UFC. That aside I really see Silva being really pissed and KO'ing Sonnen badly. I think he is going to want to teach him a lesson and force him out of the UFC. Like Calminian said Sonnen is the one person Silva absolutely does not want to lose to.
