I dont get why people are focusing on the gay part, I was just trying to make an example of a lose-lose situation. Granted, their could have been other, better examples of it, but I thought my point would get across anyways, guess it didnt.

All im saying is that, do I think Sonnen at this point deserves a rematch after everything that has happened to him recently? No I dont, Do I think he will probably get it over more deserving people simply because he uses the power of words to convince people? yea probably. Do I think Anderson is afraid of Sonnen? No, since he already beat him recently. Sonnen is in no position to be calling the shots, a loser has no right to. And if Anderson wants to fight someone he is going to do it on his terms, hes the Champion, he is more entitled to.

Sonnen also crossed the line when he attacked Silva's family (wife). That should be a huge no no. But Sonnen fanboys are all over that WWE type trashtalk, yet is nowhere to be found or shuts up when people actually directly confront him about it. Sonnen can say this this and that, and say that he won and hes the best, but he didnt win and he isint the best MW. Now Dana is likely to put on this rematch asap, but its simply because he "fell for it" (talk, money, hype etc), then "does this actually make sense?" point of view. I respect Sonnen has a fighter, but am disgusted at his antics, combined with his issues outside the cage, makes him a terrible role model for MMA doubters and young up and coming fighters. I dont mind seeing this rematch, simply because I want Silva to win so Sonnen can finally tone down the WWE trash talk, but likely that wont happen cause even in defeat Sonnen still barks the loudest.

What do people mean "he needs another fight" last time I checked the man's resume is damn impressive. The man's already beaten Yushin Okami, Nate Marquardt, and Brian Stann, who is he supposed to fight, Paul Harris, Mark Munoz, Vitor Belfort, last time I checked those guys are below the guys he already beat hit this level. He's established himself as the number 2 MW in the world and he's just hyped up a title fight better than anyone else.

Buakaw, who is more deserving at this point?

Chael is widely regarded as the #2 MW, and is ranked ahead of Okami, Munoz, Belfort, Marquardt, Stann, etc.

But we know rankings don't always determine title fights either. Prime example is Lesnar, who started his UFC career with a loss to Mir, then beat an old, rotten can in Herring, and then got a title shot vs Couture. Mir beat Lesnar, then Nogueira, and then got to watch Lesnar fight for the title...

As we all know Silva doesn't have a ton of fights left. I don't want to see him using his last few fights to dance around his competition, hands at his side and taunting. It's disrespectful (not only to the opponent, but to the paying fans who want the best fights) and makes the UFC look bad. I doubt he will try that against Sonnen, so at least the fans are getting their money worth.

After reading the BlackHouseMMA response, I somewhat get the impression they don't want to fight Sonnen, but maybe that's just me. If Silva isn't ready Superbowl weekend, I'm sure Sonnen would be willing to wait a few more months -- unless Silva is planning to take half a year off. If they feel there is someone else more deserving I'd really like to know who that is. If you have Munoz at #4 or 5, then he is the only top 5 Silva currently hasn't fought. Munoz has fought one top 5 MW (Okami) and lost, so I really don't think he's ready. If he beats Leben in November then consider him for a #1 contender fight. His biggest fight (and biggest loss) to date was against a guy Silva just TKOed, so I don't see how he deserves Silva.

Given that Silva only has a limited number of fights, I'd rather see the Sonnen rematch then Silva vs. Munoz, who I (and I'm sure many others) feel is 1-2 wins away from a title shot. And I certainly don't want to see Silva's last few fights against guys that aren't even in the top 5... that's just a waste.

I get the impression that BlackhouseMMA wants Silva to go out on top and retire with the belt (completely understandable), but he shouldn't be allowed to do that against fighters who would be 7 or 10:1 underdogs, especially when somebody who beat him for 4.5 rounds is available. If that's what he's trying to do, just retire now and go out on top, the guy seems to be hurt for every fight now anyways.
